THE VAMPIRE LESTAT 3.07 'The Failures'
This show is a comedy
Actually this was Louis being proud of Lestat standing up to his groomer of life time
The Vampire Lestat finale spoilers . 3x7 under the cut
THE ONLY PLACE THEY FEEL PIECE IS WITH EACH OTHER 😩
do not look below the cut if you didn't manage to watch the finale before apple took it down unless you want to be spoiled !!!
i can't stop thinking about their sweet lil neck touches, that they are together now and will be together when season 4 begins, that season 4 might just be everything we were hoping season 3 would be because this is just the midpoint of the story.... the neck touches... the. neck. touches.
lestat's fingers dancing along the nape of louis' neck... the backs of louis' fingers brushing along lestat's scar... i thought i would be upset if they didn't kiss but i'm not because it's so clear they will do that in season 4????
THE NECK TOUCHES!!!
also louis admitting that lestat is the love of his life.... that even in that moment of horror all he could think about was lestat.... season 4 i need you to come to me now..........
(neck touches)
Impossible to imagine that scene without the hug! Jam 🙏🙏🙏
“brutal love” talking about stars and meteors just like how lestat told louis even the stars and planets were blindfolded the night they hooked up the first time or louis telling daniel the petit coup experience was like the feeling of being high but multiplied by miles to the rings of saturn. it is NEVER loustatover and they are the only real lovers left 🫰
The loumand cope is strong 🫠 they really need Louis to hate Lestat I guess
I never liked loumand but I love Armand . I sometimes find myself defending him FROM LOUIS in Paris era . I can get that they want to see their favorite ship rise again . Either as a couple or just being together to past times . Even though it will always end up being about Lestat again . 😅
But what I think we will never see them do is WORKING TOGETHER .
Why would Louis trust ARMAND who was going to let him burn alongside Claudia and Madeline to do a plan that involves decapitating Lestat AND HIMSELF ? Sorry but that doesn't make sense to me !
Louis is in no place to trust Armand right now . And Armand is also in no place to want to have LOUIS'S attention .
THIS IS ABOUT LESTAT .
Do you believe the theory of Louis betraying Lestat and secretly working with DM?
I think it's a good theory, but I don't think it'll be the case.
There is evidence to support it. As I was watching the episode, I did put a pin on Lestat mentioning Daniel trying to get into their minds and Louis replying "he did get in mine." But then he didn't say what Daniel got from him, if he talked to him telepathically or whatever else. Maybe he told him their plan and asked him to work with them, and Louis said yes, all in secret.
While I originally thought this could mean something like this, then the end of the episode happened. And like, if Louis was indeed working with them, why would they behead him too? They would just do Lestat.
(and also I don't think Louis would ever accept being a part of the sex tape leak)
So as intriguing as this theory is, I think Louis noting that Daniel managed to get in his head was just to let us the audience know that Daniel is more powerful than your average newborn vampire.

EDIT: on second thought, maybe Louis will indeed side with DM, but, if that happens, I think it will be at some point in the finale, maybe after realizing that they're not trying to kill Lestat but rather stop the Great Conversion.
The reason why this theory is not acceptable to me is because : The way Louis and Lestat kept bringing up their own character defects , Louis being selfish , Lestat being vain about some stuff , and then before sitting on the bench they talked about working on themselves . the bench scene in ep 6 is a proof that they don't want that negative side of their characters to effect themselves or the people they love . Louis working with Dm would mean he completely used Lestat's rawness and trust AGAIN . Why would the writers show us Explicitly that Louis and Lestat want to be together and want to work on themselves as well if they wanted them to fall back into their old toxic habits ?
And to do that exactly after an entire episode of Louis feeling like they're planning future WITH LESTAT together ??? if Louis wanted to work with dm and let them decapitate him to stop the great conversion he could do it without losing his own head too . If anything they cut Louis's head too because they knew Louis would fight back for Lestat .
What if Gabriella saves Louis somehow ? Because it's the one good thing he does for Lestat as his mother ? Lestat begging her to help him saving Louis and for once Gabriella becomes actually Lestat's mother and does a motherly thing for him ? 🥲 Could that be a plot twist to Gabriella's role in the finale ? Maybe she tries to be a mother for once at least ?
every argument against the theory that louis is in on the beheading with daniel and armand has literally just been a misread on louis's characterization, a revisionist take of loustat's dynamic, and blinders about everything armand doing being evil or against loustat.
if i'm wrong i'm okay with it it's just a show and speculation for fun. i'll eat my words and laugh and keep writing iwtv yaoi. however, the things people have pointed out to me as this not being true just don't make sense.
"louis would never lie to lestat" - literally has done so in s1 for the mardi gras murder
"louis wouldn't hurt lestat" - he slit his throat and left him in a dump in s1, and this time it's not even out of hatred that louis is doing it so why wouldn't he inflict violence to save lestat
"louis is not a good liar" - 1x07, not telling lestat about the book that everyone wants to burn louis at the stake for
Isn't it quite interesting that most of the people who want Louis to be in on the beheading are Armand / loumand fans ? It is VERY interesting 🤔
Maybe. I don't know...
jacob coming up with that scene to show us that louis is not disgusted by lestat at all for gabriella ❤️
"It's okay. It's okay. It's okay."

When you were using drugs, Mr. Molloy, do you remember the best you ever had? (…) So imagine that flowing inside your veins again. Now multiply it by miles to the rings of Saturn and back.
