This took. So long. I think Maedhros technically took more work. I have a process for drawing gold and cabochons, still figuring out facets on gemstones. But its done! And it has an actual background! Yay!

So anyway, what if the Silmarills had other residual effects and one of those effects effectively preserved a cast of Mae's body?

This is very sketch because I don't want to do a full render. I'm working on another piece that is full render. Did you know that opals only look easy? Like you'd think you could put the colours anywhere and it'd look reasonable. Haha! You would be wrong.

I did have an excuse to look at all the pretty fire opals for as long as I wanted though. And I'm getting more used to the oil brushes.

Seems that people liked my previous post! Here’s a work in progress piece of the one thing I wish the game had (Bell Beast pet button) and some further elaboration on my Hornet design. There’s not many games where I can scratch my insect drawing itch, so I’ll take any opportunity I get. A moment of silence for the lineart that will inevitably get obscured by the lighting.

Feanor, like all good artists, must check the quality of his work and for that he needs starlight. Maedhros goes with him and is delighted by the fact they're not the only ones out and about. It's a quiet day as the Noontide of Valinor slowly passes.
