"Not on me! W-what’s even going on!?!" The creature from the lake tugged hard again, and Rini and the weird guy where a LOT closer to the monster than they wanted to be. Things where looking bad, and if they got any worse, she’d have to do something she really didn’t...

Rini really hoped this worked barefoot. She cried "Sailor Kick!" and crashed down on the slimy appendage with her heel. It worked, the creature momentarily recoiled, and the two came crashing just beyond the bank from the momentum built up from their tug-o-war.

Still on her bruised bum, she immediately retreated to the edge of the trees in case that thing had any ideas of getting closer. 

"What is that thing?!" she asked aloud.

It was a lovely night for contemplating, and the pink haired adolescent was doing just that. She was at her favorite spot, the lake. It was almost midnight, but this place was familiar and there was a beautiful full moon out. Rini sat on the bank, feet ankle deep in...

"Not on me! W-what's even going on!?!" The creature from the lake tugged hard again, and Rini and the weird guy where a LOT closer  to the monster than they wanted to be. Things where looking bad, and if they got any worse, she'd have to do something she really didn't want to do.

"Whoever you are don't let go!" She yelled.

"Hows your mother anyway?" he asked while smiling and hugging his daughter

"She was fine the last time I saw her, and she has the scouts if something happens anyway. She misses you when you go on these trips though.

"Ah…don’t worry I’ll visit from times to times" he told gently "I don’t stay in one place anyway"he shrugged

Rini hugged her dad again. “Don’t work too hard, okay? Or I’ll make Auntie drag your butt back home to rest! Right Auntie?”

"Right!"she beamed with a light chuckle while the male sighed and spoke "Don’t worry I won’t…..besides your aunt works harder than I do…"

Rini puffed out her chest a bit as she boldly declared,”I know. I want to train, so I can work twice as hard as you and auntie, and not even break a sweat!”

"Good"he smiled gently "she trains non-stop anyway…" he chuckled "hey! its not my fault I’m always have to stay on guard!"the princess countered back while the other just laughs a little

Rini watched the two’s banter. *sigh* “Too bad I don’t have any siblings to joke around with. Right papa?”  She gave a sly look to her dad.

"Yeah…."he sweatdrop "sis can be a pain though"he admitted with a shrug "am not" the female crossed her arms

Rini smiled. She remembered all the times she had with 21st century Usagi, which was a lot like having a big sister. 

"So papa, why are you in the library?"

"Oh I was just studying"he simply told "that’s because your a workaholic Mamoru"the princess added with a smirk "at least I don’t slack off sometimes" he countered back with a chuckle "I do not….well okay not all the times…"the female admitted

"He studies a lot back home too. He’s a workaholic alright!" Rini chimed in.

"I agreed with that~~"she chuckled

Rini got a sly idea. “Do you have any funny stories about papa when he was younger? I only know mama’s.”

She smirked “I can remember one time when we were younger father made us put on a play for our people and it was a fairytale but the thing was that father loves to tease us so he made everyone switch characters. I was playing as the fairy and your father here was playing as the prince so both of our roles changed and he had to be the fairy instead of me” she chuckled slightly “that was so embarrassing….”he mused while placing a hand to his face “Oh and one time I can also remember when he went into mothers garden in search of something and tripped head first into the mud~”

Rini thought about her usually gracefully and collected father in such situations and had to stifle laughter to spare her dad.

It was a lovely night for contemplating, and the pink haired adolescent was doing just that. She was at her favorite spot, the lake. It was almost midnight, but this place was familiar and there was a beautiful full moon out. Rini sat on the bank, feet ankle deep in the water. She made small, rhythmic ripples as she subconsciously swung her left foot slowly in time. Her eyes where on the serene reflection of the moon dancing on the ripples in the center of the lake, but her mind was else where. She didn't notice when something inconspicuously  broke the surface and wrapped itself around her still foot until she felt a tug and screamed...
