Love it when all the circus members that died on Ragatha’s tl are never shown or mentioned at all. Only Kaufmo and Ribbit (who are basically just associated with Jax) get that treatment and they’re still reduced to Jax’s sob story pawns. Circus members that joined after Ragatha? Ragatha who? I just love that, can’t you tell 🫠?

legitimately what makes ppl think that elizabeth being abandoned underground for YEARS and making bad decisions due to having no way to cope with her death is worse than a grown adult killing kids for no reason.

Jax confessing about killing her mom genuinely cracked me up because from the way she phrased it, you could tell she was watering down her wrongs as much as she could. "Oh I um..pushed her...really hard...and uhhh...she didn’t get up". It sounds like a lawyer twisting their client's actions to make them sound more acceptable.

It's crazy to track how Pomni treats male characters compared to everyone else.

Ragatha: bare minimum sympathy offered, more often than not ignores or downplays her emotions in favor of Jax. Literally only fully embraces her friendship when Jax is GONE

Gangle: seems annoyed that Gangle dared show emotion in front of her in episode 4. Her attempt to reach out fails, and then she NEVER reaches out to Gangle again

Zooble: Do these two ever even talk one-on-one?

And then of course...

Gummigoo: a whole entire comfort sequence dedicated to this man she just met

Kinger: Opens up extensively about her pain and suffering to him. Also only turns to him when it's time to press the button in episode 7, instead of like, talking about it with anyone else in the room?

Jax: do I even need to say

"Jax didn't get a funeral and instead they're laughing" DUDE HE GOT A PILLOW FORT AND IS STILL THERE. The reason Jax didn't get a funeral is because he's in the pillow fort, even if he's dead he's still semi there.

And the laughing (talking about the other characters having interactions after Jax abstracted) it was probably multiple days after his abstraction. They were laughing and having fun the immediate day after Kaufmo abstracted.

Also, what did you even want the characters to say?

Gangle "I liked how he always threatened me and blackmailed me"

Zooble "I liked how he bullied my partner and how he was always rude about my gender identity"

Ragatha "I liked how he put centipedes in my room knowing they're my only fear"

The only person who could possibly say something nice is Pomni.

People talking abt tadc on netflix like its the first indie animation to ever do it like respectlessly stfu because Bee and puppycat did it before tadc and was much better than tadc

Edit- ALSO LAIKA WAS AN INDIE STUDIO TOO THAT WAS IN THEATERS BEFORE TAdc and CLEARLY HAS MORE DETAIL AND CHARACTERIZATION THAN TADC EVER COULD HOPE TO HAVE

also good day to remind folks that just bc you see a character one way, doesn't mean it's the be all and end all.

to me the beauty of ambiguous description is that *anyone* can interpret a character *any way* they see fit.

(like personally i imagine most Seam kids to look like me, who has dark hair and olive skin, but is very much Eastern European (German/Czech). Whereas a lot of people see the Seam kids as indigenous or black, and i think that's great :) everyone can interpret how they want, and everyone is correct so to speak)
