This side blog will be exclusively for original content (with the possible exception of crossover fics with characters from known IPs).

I'll add some short stuff in the near future, mostly text - sadly, I've lost the digital version of most of my old drawings and rescanning everything just seems like a hassle, but I might get around it if the mood strikes.

If you come across anyone who starts off with "Scientists don't want you to know..." you need to understand that they're lying. They're completely full of shit and working a grift.

Because they've never met or spoke with a scientist.

Scientists WANT YOU TO KNOW. Scientists want you to know SO MUCH. Scientists would be THRILLED to teach you EVERYTHING they know in EXPLICIT DETAIL. Scientists LOVE to share information and their findings and their theories. They don't want to hide anything, ever. They are SO HAPPY to share.

why do closed captions keep pretending english is the only intelligible language? when a character speaks spanish what exactly is forcing your hand to transcribe it as "[speaks foreign language]" rather than "Si"

People who know how to spell a word in english but not how to pronounce it, because they've only ever seen it in writing, who simply take a wild guess of how it's probably supposed to go, are a lot braver than I am.

But what impresses me even more are people that clearly know how to pronounce a rare word, know how to use it correctly in context, but spell it so wrong that I wouldn't have even thought of putting those letters into that order to spell it out phonetically. Because hold on, what the fuck kind of company do you keep that you learned the word "appurtenant" in conversation?!

just a reminder that while rocky is adorable, he's also a genius engineer who is grace's equal. he isn't a pet. saying rocky is like grace's pet is like saying that spock was kirk's pet. that would be insane to say. rocky not looking human doesn't lessen his intelligence.
