Imagine adapting the OG story to where Kix wakes up a few years after the fall of the Republic by bounty hunters instead of pirates. One of those bounty hunters is Latts Razzi- the two end up working together and make an exceptional team. Skeptical of each other at first. Kix doesn’t trust bounty hunters and Latts thinks Kix is overly compassionate and will get himself killed. After working together, Kix learns that not every bounty hunter is heartless, and that many live by a code of honor. Latts starts to admire Kix- and how after loosing everything, he’s still compassionate, refusing to let the galaxy turn him bitter. Slow burn romance. Shared missions. Tending to each others wounds. Learning to trust. Accidentally falling in love. Why does this story actually have some insane potential? A mirror of Vos and Ventress in Dark Disciple in the best way. What do you think?

My favorite way Maul is suited to being called the Shadow Lord is because the Sith traditionally use the title of Dark Lord. And, while the dark is oppositional to the light, a shadow needs the light to exist at all in the first place. It's an echo of the dark that cannot exist in total darkness or in total light.

If you’d told me they let Maul, former dark lord of the sith, just sit in a sewer and cry while promising his child self that he won’t allow the cycle of abuse Sidious perpetuates to happen to anyone else I would not have believed you. But holy hell it worked masterfully

I like seeing that Maul's disability continues to affect him

Its not just a thing that happened to him wham bam done, its a thing thats consistently happening and its affecting him and his fighting

It also finds a new angle to deepen his hatred to Obi-Wan. The disability affects his fighting and although he is a fantastic fighter he is probably more limited than he would've been.
