Okay, I love everything about this hall of mirrors:

Traditional mirror mazes are dark and creepy. This one is brightly lit, and colorful.

The triangular grid makes it that much more disorienting.

The pillars help to obscure the difference between the mirrors and the openings -- so it doesn't NEED to be dark.

All of this combines to make it much more fun and entertaining and much less "I gotta get out of here before Mr. Dark drags me off to the soul-sucking carousel".

btw, here's the trick for a mirror maze: look at the floor. even in this video, whenever you can see the floor, it's easy to see which way isn't mirrors

End of this week has been weird

Thursday: engine of car starts sputtering and stepping on the gas does nothing so i get my car towed. Friend and roommate are awesome and help me get to and from work etc. mechanic says they cant look at it until next thursday!!!! But grandparents are nice enough to let me use their car starting sunday/monday

Saturday: do a load of laundry and while im already expecting water to have leaked onto the floor as usual i do not expect the basement to just be flooded with water and black goop water (mud). Later that night the basement toilet starts overflowing poop water. I cant shower and my roommate jokes that i should use the bathroom at sheetz

Sunday: still unable to really use water at home. Waiting for gpa to tell me when he’s picking me up so i can borrow car. Bored out of my MIND stir crazy. Gpa isnt coming until 4. I still wanna get groceries and i wanna shower. Roommate is suggesting i sleep at their house bc there’s no running water here. But im like ahhh but the bunnies… their hay needs refilled so often like i dont wanna not go to bed here/not be here in the morning for them. Im like. Should i just call off tomorrow because we are dealing with this? Even tjough its my roommate’s house and im not really doing anything to help bc idk what to do… my grandparents just live a bit farther away (half an hour) and im just like not prepared. I may ask to be able to come in late so that i can have some extra time to like, do stuff

Gpa came around 4, said it was fine for me to stay over. We go back to his house to drop him off and i talk to my gma. I ask if its ok if i stay over and she goes “……….. i guess…:/“ and im like its just for tonight. And then gpa tells her im getting groceries after this and shes like “why??” And Im like uhhh so i have groceries for the week…”

I could tell she was upset and i hate when she gets like this. Like if you dont want me to stay over just tell me, its fine. Like i wont be mad. You’re already letting me borrow your car and lettibg me shower. And speaking of the car. One of the first things gpa says to me when he comes over is that he doesnt like that hes lending me the car for a long period of time. And i said i know, thats why im only asking for it mon-thurs. and again its like. If you werent okay with it you couldve said so. I wouldve found a way to get to and from work. Or if you wanted to only lend it for a couple days like just say so!!!! I think they assume im gonna like freak out if they say no to stuff but i’d rather them be direct than passive aggressive.
