//anyway, once lance goes to college, he still stays in touch with his family.

(I decided to name her Laura (that was one of the names that stood out to me when y'all gave your suggestions) cause it makes it seem like she’s kinda named after Lance.)

(I also changed her to his niece, since lance is the youngest of his siblings.)

He spends a lot of time spoiling his niece and teaching her things to say things that stress out her parents. 

(Laura: Uncle Lance says your gift was supposed to be attractive and perfect. Dad: Oh? Laura: Yeah, but the mailman told him to get out of the mailbox. Dad..........Give me the phone, please.)

He always brings her gifts from himself and his friends (some of which also stresses out her parents).

(Dad: Lance, why a remote-controlled robotic dinosaur--? *SCREECH* Dad: That roars??!!)

(He still let her keep it because she loved it.)

keith and lance are young in this (maybe 11 or so?). a lot of times Keith needed to go off somewhere to get away from things, but he hated being alone, so he always wanted lance with him. 

he also frequented the roof because he felt that it brought him closer to his mom.

keith was naturally smart, so he was often a target for hate from his classmates.

he thought it was better to get the fighting over with than to wait for the other party to get physical. 

he never lost a fight at school. he only had to fight a few times, they caught on pretty quick

as for lance, lance “didn’t have bullies,” he had “passionate haters.” (Lance (17): Hey, don’t laugh!)

they never lasted long, though, with either keith picking a fight (and winning) or lance’s sunshine personality getting the better of them

in which the boys got so close that they couldn’t handle separation after one of their playdates. keith threw the biggest fit in his life and lance actually cried for once D: 

the problem was solved by using FaceTime :)

the sleepover happened because lance needed to stay at keith’s house while his mom was in labor; lance was lowkey super panicked and keith helped distract him until he could fall asleep.

guess who watched a playthrough of little nightmares and got obsessed with it’s story :D

I know we haven’t actually seen six’s face, and at first i wasn’t going to include it, but I really like the theory of her being the geisha’s daughter who was banished to the underbelly of the maw because her mother saw that she was becoming more beautiful than her.

(sorry i haven’t been updating y'all its been a hellova long couple of weeks being sick, and i still have another week of finals left to go, but i still wanted to post)

//in which keith, about 10 years old, finally asks his dad with all seriousness when he will get to see his mother. 

adding some headcanons:

keith is mature for his age, so papa kogane is straight with him and tells him that there’s a chance that he’ll never meet his mother. (keith hates worrying his dad, but he still can’t hide his disappointment.)

later that night before bed, papa kogane tells him all that he knows about keith’s mom. (as he talks, keith falls asleep, dreaming about what she’s like.)

keith is comforted by shiro during times like these. he sees him as an older brother.

(in the picture, he’s wearing one of shiro’s old basketball jerseys, cause it gave him the courage to ask his dad)

keith also finds comfort from lance, since his father is a police officer (dad mcclain has already come close to death from his job, and lance understands that every time he goes back into service, he might not see him again)

(this is technically for my childhood au, but can be considered a collective headcanon about keith coping with his mother’s absence.)

//in which a small emergency comes up and lance’s parents have to leave him at keith’s house while they handle it. the situation was eventually taken care of but lance decided to sleep over anyway. 

(sorry y’all, i planned to post more easter-related stuff, but i got a bit sick :/ these are just a couple light sketches i had ready.)

keith was absolutely the kind of super affectionate baby that tries to kiss everyone he liked

he was also a drama queen (lol his bib)

also lance’s bib is just his parent’s sense of humor because lance was the kind of baby that was totally indifferent to whatever was going on 

(if he fell down or got hurt or heard some super sudden noise, he was like, “whatever”) like hearing his name was the only thing that could get his attention

in summary, keith claimed lance as his unofficial boyfriend before they could even walk :D
