Unfortunately I have brainrot involving this creatura (/aff). I really should draw something else but I'm somehow not doing that. If you see me drawing them even more, I apologize.
Oh Annika, the being they are... A sleep deprived individual having to keep up with everything around them.
This creatura has been living in my head rent free lately so I started drawing them for no reason.
I am considering making this my coloring progress. I like how it looks, makes it look less generic... If that makes sense. I will test it out a few more times but I don't dislike how this turned out.
I have sketched them on paper and then experimented around a little when digitizing. They're surprisingly fun to draw but that may be just me.
Their name is Annika and they use 'they/them'. And if you can guess what I just got into... Congrats.

“H… Here! Please accept this!” And then, just as soon as Lukanja had uttered that sentence, they were shoving a box right in front of Goro. He didn’t really expect that turn of events. Then again, he had temporarily forgotten what day it was today. Only when he had walked down the streets and spotted the billboards and signs advertising that day he had caught on. Right, today was Valentine’s Day.
A day he had not been too fond of back in the day. Not too long ago he would constantly bump into females who would just stop him dead in his tracks and shove a box right in front of him. “ Here! This is for you Akechi–San! ” They would all suddenly say. And before he could even think about refusing, he had been handed the chocolate right then and there and saw any of the girls running off. School hadn’t been better, his shoe locker and desk also being filled to the brim with chocolate. It was too much to handle all on his own.
So he would give out some by chance, never really bothering with the chocolate himself. If he was completely honest, it was a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with. He just was being polite when he got a chance to accept them but nothing else was behind those words. He didn’t really get it and didn’t really care. Does it sound cruel? Yes. Does he care? Not really, no. It was just how he thought about things. He wouldn’t say it out loud of course, not even with any type of attention off of him. You never knew who was watching after all.
Though receiving chocolate from someone you actually care about? This was honestly something completely different. And he did not expect it to be. Then again, never had he imagined that Lukanja would stand in front of him with a box of chocolates themself. He never thought that he would see them reaching out with it in their grasp and being a blushy mess while at it. Despite the two being a thing for a while now, they were still surprisingly bashful about it if not nervous.
And he honestly was as well… Though for more reason than one. He had a good look at the box of chocolates they had prepared. They were not store bought, he could tell that much. The ominous aura looming over them was impossible to overlook. Not to mention how the wrapper was keeping itself together by tape, making the package itself look rather messy. And the smell, one could take it from through the box… It was awful. It could knock anyone to the ground with one bite probably.
And yet, when looking at them, he saw how they kept themself together. They were also rather embarrassed, looking away, as if expecting him to deny it at any given moment. They were probably as aware as he was, how much of a hazard this chocolate could be. And yet, in some weird way, he could tell through the package that this was not some half hearted attempt.
If that were the case they probably could have bought chocolate, just like anybody else would have in their position. Or at least any of the other girls would have. Another reason why he could easily give them away was because that none of these chocolates held any meaning to Goro whatsoever. And probably they held no meaning to the girls either, at most being surface level.
But as for Lukanja, they were always trying in some way. Ever since the two had gotten closer they were always trying their hardest to show how they felt. And this was honestly no exception to that whatsoever. And… It was from someone he held very close. He couldn’t refuse their chocolate, no matter how hard he would try.
So, after the shock had passed, he took it off their hands, much to their own surprise. They even looked at him in slight shock, blinking for a good moment. “Huh? A… Are you—”
“Yes, I am sure. Tell me a reason I shouldn’t in fact.” He nearly scoffed at them, not sure why they would even have to ask this to begin with. Lukanja sometimes, yeesh…
“W… Well… It could be a biohazard.” They said, somewhat jokingly yet they… Probably had a fair point, much to his own dismay.
“I won’t know until I try, will I?” He added jokingly, somewhat, yet there could be some truth to his words couldn’t there be? Hah… He’ll figure it out as he goes. What other choice did he even have at that point?
Then again, even if it kills him, he wouldn’t regret accepting their chocolate, no matter what.

One day… Less than 24 hours… And here they were, eyeing the package on the counter. It was quite the hassle to get it done. After all, Lukanja was not the best when it came to making homemade stuff. During the entire time across those last two weeks they were trying very hard to prepare it just right – Creating homemade chocolate.
Honestly, they had never done this before. After all, there was no one they ever wanted to give chocolate to. Not in their entire life had they ever even considered that this day would come. But here it was, them feeling nervous as the day was approaching closer and closer.
Sometime last week they had asked Haru if she could help them in some way yet that turned into a total disaster. And Akira had seen the letter they tried to prepare as well. And all while doing all the other stuff they were trying to prepare all of this on their own… But today, the last day before the big day, they had given up. Hence why they crawled to Akira, much to their dismay, begging him for help.
“ You could just buy chocolate. I don’t think that Akechi would mind. ”
“ No, I can’t! That’s not personal enough! I need to do it myself! So please! ”
A bit of begging later and they managed to convince him for a little help. Of course it was also ending up in a mess yet both pulled through in the end… Resulting in the messy package on the counter which had some of the chocolate on it. “Don’t worry about it. I will clean this before Sojiro comes over.” Their friend had assured them as he suddenly showed up to the table with two plates in hand, both of them containing… Curry?
They blinked, looking up for a moment as they looked at it. The smell… Did he use some of the leftover chocolate for the curry itself? That was daring, very daring. “Ah, it’s fine! I—”
“Eat up. It’s late and we worked hard, didn’t we?”
They didn’t even get to finish, presented with that plate before knowing it. And it would be impolite to refuse now. No, it was too late rather. Thus they nodded a little. “Thanks.”
“You did all you could.” He continued as he sat at the other side of the table, placing down the plate with his filling. “Worry about things tomorrow. For now, eat up.”
“Yeah, will do.”
Though it was hard to get a bite in. After all, tomorrow… The day was killing them. Was that how girls felt before giving chocolates to their crushes? N… No… Probably just them overthinking things.
Or maybe all of that was coming up due to this smell… How did Akira even manage to make their chocolate smell decent within his curry? Huh… A mystery which would probably remain unsolved. After all, they couldn’t imitate it.

That they were a rather unusual noble was probably an understatement. The prince knew just as much. After all, their court was anything but short of unusual behavior. What most would treat as the ‘common folk’ was a norm in their own castle, their home. He heard the tales right out of their mouth, when they had gotten closer as fiancées. In fact, they had been a little confused the very first time.
“Why are the maids and butlers not dining with us?” They had asked.
The prince had stared at the princess in somewhat of a shock, slight disbelief. He had never expected this to hear out of any noble person’s mouth, at all. Not even them. Never had anyone questioned it but them. And they had opened their mouth at dinner nonetheless. “It is how things are around here.” He simply responded, trying to keep his cool. He was used to weirder questions and worst situations. This should be easy to navigate. Except it turned out that it wasn’t.
“Really? You’re not creeped out by having people watching you eat?” This question had the staff gasp as well, some even having looked away a little awkwardly. Talk about having no filter when speaking. “Weird.”
“Their… Job is to be at our back and call.” He tried to remain calm, not freak out. He had never thought about it like that. Though the phrasing itself was also somewhat insufferable. They could have really put it into kinder words but chose not to. Yet… There was a point to be made here.
And yet not everyone saw it like that. He could feel the daggering gazes at the young princess, other court members and even the prince’s own father being at the brink of their patience with them. They could kill them for it yet knew that they also had to keep calm. This was the ‘daughter’ of another influential yet late king, the prince’s betrothed. And it would cause issues to talk back to them. Mainly with their mother everyone feared. She had also no filter with her words sometimes, except she was also ready to use violence if she had to. Or being furious.
In any case, the princess paid it no mind. Instead they turned to the staff and asked bluntly yet innocently: “Hey, how about you join us next time?”
“Ah– M… Milady! We can’t just do that!” One of the maids responded, though flustered while fumbling around all over. “After all, it’s… Not appropriate for mere staff and nobles to—”
“It’s no fair if you just watch us eat y’know.” They interrupted her. Talk about a lack of manners.
“B… But…”
“You know what? I would love for you to join us next time! How about it?”
“Uhm… A kind offer Milady… Yet…”
“Haha, don’t worry! I will stand up for y’all. From the next meal onwards you are eating with us!”
An unconventional noble but honestly… It was a little refreshing. Maybe they were the wind this court needed…
“And? What do you think?” Lukanja had asked Goro, him just finishing up reading that passage. He had been asked to by them very eagerly.
A story about a prince and a princess, falling madly in love while being married to another from an arranged marriage. It sounded clichée and he wasn’t too thrilled reading about the contents but what they had failed to mention was how the two characters bounced off each other. An unconventional princess, showing the prince a life he hadn’t even considered. The home having been an unusual court and this princess was now carrying out new traditions in this rather conventional court. It makes the princess unpopular at first yet the prince doesn’t seem to hate it at all. So it quickly turned into defying the odds. All while also making sure to anger the prince’s father by getting in between his own plans of taking over the entire continent. He was honestly surprised.
“It’s not the usual fairy tale schmuck.” He admitted. “I… might be a little curious. But just a little.”
“Hehe, good enough for me. Glad to hear that~” They responded with a hum.
“Although, the characters feel a little too familiar. Who did you base this on?”
“Huh? No one.”
“Riight…” He wasn’t believing that for a second.
“Honest! I just wrote it as I went!”
“Seriously?”
“Yes!”
“I… If you say so…” He wouldn’t get the answer out of them then. Even if he doubted it. After all, he could relate to the prince a little too much.
Or no, maybe Goro really is just imagining things here.

Goro had met them on his way home. Lukanja had no umbrella at the ready, much to their own embarrassment. “I must've forgotten it at home earlier, sorry.” Honestly l, they could be quite forgetful sometimes, much to his own dismay. If the two had not bumped into one another, they would have had to stand outside beneath some type of shielding from the heavy rain. Yet he had seen them and was quick to call out to him in their usual manner.
The loud ‘Goro–Kun’ would always make him freeze on the spot before feeling their arms wrap around one of his arms, only shoving their body as close as possible. This time it was the one holding the umbrella, seeking refuge right beneath.
He knew that they were practically like a cat. They hated getting wet by any sense of the word. It was one of the first things he gad learned. Even the tiniest drop of water made them shake themself. Once more they reminded him of a housecat. Their hatred of water was one of those traits and probably the strongest. Though he was wondering sometimes if they wouldn't just use it as an excuse as well to stay as close to him as possible.
In any case, he found himself walking down the streets with them after some scolding for being once more so forgetful. Or rather, he had tried to scold them but they just wouldn't listen. Instead they were too busy humming while clinging onto him like an octopus, not letting go anytime soon. Their head had also tilted a little to the side, enough to lean against him while walking. And if he stole a glance once or twice he could see a smile on their face. A big, wide smile. It was one of the widest he had seen on them in a very long time.
It may be rainy yet it didn't seem to stop them from having that goofy grin plastered all over their face. They just couldn't let him go, trapping him in their grasp with it for as long as they pleased. And they were enjoying it more than was perhaps necessary. But if it kept them happy, then so be it. After all, he would lie if he claimed that they weren't cute while smiling like this. He couldn’t stay mad at them for too long if they were like this. That was also in the spirit of a cat after all, wasn't it?
Ah wait, here he goes again with the cat comparison. All in the rain too. Oh what an irony.
“Hey Goro, let's head somewhere together! A little detour maybe!”
“Are you seriously asking to go somewhere in the rain? I thought you hated getting wet.”
“Well, yeah. But if I can stay with you a little longer that way then…”
“Is that all you care about?”
“Why not? Let's have some fun while it lasts!”
“Don't complain to me if you get wet. Got it?”
“Alright alright, I won't complain~ Maybe.”
Oh but even now they were a little impossible to handle!

It was loud, very loud. Though that’s the best part when hanging out with the dudes, wasn’t it? No one is holding you back. Don’t worry about a thing and sing your soul out! Well, that was at least the case during karaoke.
Ryuji had not expected an invitation that day but who was he to say no honestly? Lukanja had been asking, saying that they were hanging out with some of their guy friends as Luka. And because why not, they had been wondering if he wanted to tag along too?
“ I’m sure that you’d get along with ‘em. They ain’t bad dudes at all! ” – Something they had texted him. It didn’t take much convincing though, he wouldn’t pass up that opportunity. Mainly because he wanted to and it sounded like a blast. A day at karaoke? Then again, he was never that hard to convince. At least when it came to stuff like that. And everyone else was pretty much busy with their own thing so he may as well. Takes him back to other times though, with the other guys a year ago. They’d sometimes just go somewhere else for a bit of fun after practice, team building. Then again, it was also a reason to slack off. So yeah, maybe it was just taking him back.
In any case, he didn’t hold back! Bring the beat! Let the music guide your voice and sing to your heart's content today! And seriously, the dudes weren’t that bad for real! He was having a blast here and he made sure to let everyone know! Man, he’s gotta thank Lukanja later for letting him join in on the fun here!
Though they were a little tense from the looks of it. Even when he grinned at them they were just waving a little slowly. Or maybe he was just imagining that. Hmm… Ah, maybe they’ll loosen up if he’s dragging them onto the front too! After all, everyone’s gotta sing, right? And they haven’t done so yet.
That settles it! After this song’s over Ryuji knows what he has to do – Get Lukanja to sing their lungs out like everyone else! And he wasn’t going to take no for an answer. Everyone gets their fair share of fun here!

“Here! I pulled this the other day from another crane game! I saw your pencil case and thought that you might appreciate Makoto~”
It was a bit of a surprise to see something like this still being around in arcades. Then again, Makoto had also heard that to fill up crane machines they would take old plushies sometimes and just place them within the crane game itself. This one was a small plush keychain in shape of a panda bear. A round one with big, round, black ears and a smile. Around its eyes there were big, black dots. Unlike actual panda bears the white fur was covered with black dots around the belly and back. This wasn’t just any panda bear, no. This was the long forgotten mascot Buchimaru–Kun, a tiny keychain of it.
Makoto herself looked up in surprise, at the one who had shoved the tiny bear right into her hands. It was Lukanja who had gifted it to her and their grin would not leave their face. She wasn’t too certain what to say, being a little bit of a flustered mess. Not for any strong reason, she just hadn’t imagined that this would happen in the slightest. “Uhm… You… Actually remembered that I—”
“Like Buchumaku–Kun? Yep~”
“Uhm… It’s Buchimaru–Kun.”
“Ah, right! My bad! Buchamiru–Kun.”
“Buchimaru–Kun!”
“Waah! S… Sorry! I’ll try my best to remember!”
She sighed. Then again, this fumble had to be expected. Given what Lukanja is like sometimes with names. But she definitely appreciated the thought, a lot. It was a nice surprise, one which made her lips curl upwards a little. “Thank you. It wasn’t necessary, really.”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s fine. Besides, having matching keychains could be fun~
“Huh? M… Matching?” She asked, definitely caught off guard now.
Even more when they brought up their own set of keys and a tiny Buchimaru–Kun dangling down from it as well. “Ta–da~ See?”
“That—” She really didn’t expect that at all. Matching with a friend. It was not a bad thing, she was just a little speechless is all. But the thought was… Nice. Yeah, it was nice actually. She didn’t hate it. In fact it only makes her chuckle yet again. “Yeah, I do. How very thoughtful of you.”
She didn’t hate this. Honestly, it was nice to know that Lukanja had warmed up to Makoto as time passed on. There was less of an awkwardness between them. And that was more than a good thing.
The sounds of the instruments were making themselves known and echoing through the entire establishment. It was always a more peaceful endeavor when Goro came over to visit the small jazz club, fittingly named Jazz Jin. It was one of his go to spots, one he could drop every bit of his worries and just be himself. Let loose and let it wash all away.
Honestly, he had felt that way even back in the day. He still wasn’t really sure what he liked or disliked. Honestly, most things in his life were not really a constant nor something he would truly call ‘his own’. Everything he had said back then was all but a facade after all. His interests, preferences and even his tastes. All of that just to keep an image people wanted to see, not what he really was like. Or at least he wasn’t sure honestly. There was so much he had hidden, even from himself.
But one thing he knew he always enjoyed was not just the atmosphere of this place but also the music. There was just something about jazz he really enjoyed. Maybe it was the unpredictable nature of the genre as a whole? Or how it always managed to be so soothing? Maybe it was a mix of both. Or just simply that this place was special to him, hence why he held the genre as a whole in perhaps a special regard as well.
Then again, maybe he didn’t want to get into the details. Because once he did it would lose its appeal. And did he really need to know of a deeper reason than simply ‘he likes it’? No, not really. And he didn’t owe anyone an explanation on it either.
So it wasn’t exactly a place he would just take anyone with him either. It was rare that he would find himself in someone’s company. Usually he preferred to be all by himself. It would truly take someone special for him to even consider introducing them, let alone dragging them back to this place.
One person he had taken along here some time ago was Kurusu. Goro didn’t know why exactly and even now it was perhaps still a bit of a mystery to him. Then again, even he would be foolish to say nowadays that he hated the guy. Goro didn’t, not really at least. Kurusu was a bit of a pain in the neck sometimes, given his quips and smartass remarks but if it wasn’t for him then who knows where Goro himself may have ended up at. Even if it was a little difficult nowadays to see him in the eye. Not to mention his rather irritating view on things, especially in the regard he held the former Detective Prince. But alas, he could hardly deny any importance, especially if he had shown his rival this place on his own accord. It was all a… Complicated endeavor.
As for the second person… Luckily things were more straightforward than anything else. He had taken them too, though the first time he did it was some type of desperation. He had seen them frustrated, sitting in front of the police station and not knowing what to do. He tried to get them to calm down and Jazz Jin was the first thing coming to his mind. It then turned into a temporary meeting spot for a Palace infiltration regarding Officer Sato’s Palace. But by now the place had turned into more than that…
If he was taking someone along to the club nowadays, it would honestly be them coming first to his mind, Lukanja. Turning a place to unwind into an occasional dating spot… A little bizarre at first but by now he had gotten used to this. It was honestly something he looked forward to once in a while. And showing someone important a place he cherishes… Of course that was also not out of the question. Even though it was rather personal it was also… Nice. Having them around. Sitting around, chatting while just taking in the atmosphere.
Even now he caught himself nearly cracking a few smiles. He just couldn’t help himself in this instance or any other. It honestly wasn’t so bad. It just wasn’t something he had ever imagined happening. A lot has happened since and the change that he wasn’t just visiting this place alone anymore was also proof of that. And he wouldn’t have it any other way…
How ironic… It all started because of a simple fascination for Jazz.

Fairytales are always a wonderful source of inspiration. The tales of princes, princesses and other mythical creatures allow for all sorts of things created from your imagination. The possibilities were endless, just like they were within the fairy tales itself. It was magic, a massive fantasy. Perfect to let your creativity run wild in every possible way! At least that was Yusuke’s opinion.
He recalled the first time he had been told in any way about the mythical tales Lukanja had to tell him – All the stories which were traditions within their homeland, stories they had been told since they were little. And they were all fascinating – A tale of an evil wolf tricking a young girl only to devour her. Or a princess trapped within a tower with beautiful, long hair and ending up escaping. Or an evil witch and step mother trying to poison her step daughter, only for her to be woken up by a true love’s kiss. The mere idea of such tales would get any ideas flowing.
Oh the images which jumped into his mind, the amount of pieces he wanted to bring to live when hearing them. Then again, whatever tale they told him, they never disappointed. In fact, they were very intriguing to listen to, always giving vivid images. Whenever there was a need for a source of inspiration, one could rely on them no matter what.
In fact, a piece he had been working on right at this moment was a result of those tales. He was still in the process of working on this new piece of art. And frankly, dare he say that he had gotten a little excited from time to time. So much so that he just had to show the current progress each time. Just like right now. Even if it was late at night, a response would come rather quickly as well.
‘Woha! Is that the one based on Rotkäppchen?’
‘It is. How were you able to tell?’
‘The massive wolf with the big claws!
Also the very sharp teeth you gave it with that open mouth!
Gruaaah!
Oh, and the little girl in red cowering in the corner.’
‘I see.
What do you think so far?’
‘Hmm…
It’s certainly a dark twist. The red sticks out too. Though what’s the background supposed to be?’
‘Oh, that is not finished yet. It is supposed to be the bedroom.’
‘Oooh.
Hoping that it’s as messy as the rest of the painting!’
‘Mess?’
‘I mean that as a good thing! Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing it!’
‘Oh.Thank you.’ But of course they had a keen eye for it.
Now, onwards to finish this new piece of art as soon as possible!
It was loud when this meow had probably also made the customers downstairs curious. Akira however, he had a full on sight today and honestly, the sight he had gotten was one which made him chuckle a little. He couldn’t hold it back, snickering as he was watching the scene unfold. He wanted to focus on some of the schoolwork he still had ahead of him but honestly? With those two in the room it was nearly impossible.
He had texted Lukanja earlier today, asking if they were free to help him with some of it. They accepted fairly quickly and hurried over. Though the thoughts of helping with studies was quickly thrown out the window, the moment Morgana had entered the scene. He was originally just jumping on the table to see the progress. However, before knowing it he was picked up and right in Lukanja’s arms, them somewhat clutching onto him and cuddling him, even nuzzling him against them.
“So soft and cute~” They even mumbled, visibly in some type of bliss. The cat in question could not escape and was constantly meowing all over the place. Well, so it would sound like to other people but to them this cat was speaking in coherent words.
“C… Cute!? I’m not cute!” The cat protested. One could seem him wiggling around yet there seemed to be no escape from their clutches. Once the cuddle monster caught you it would not let you go. Its grip was so tight that it would not let you leave, no matter how much you begged and pleaded. It would get its satisfaction no matter what. And it would not stop cuddling. Or so Akira liked to describe it. He didn’t have any experience, only few knew how it really felt. And Morgana was one of those few chosen ones. “Now let go!”
“Sorry but I can’t. Ole barely lets me cuddle him like that so you’ll do Morgy~”
“M… Morgy!? Where did that come fro– MEOW!” Yet he was interrupted midway through with another assault of cuddles and pets and forehead kisses. This cat was being smothered all over the place, no matter what. “This is getting embarrassing!”
“Oh come on. Cute ones get pampered!”
“Again!? I’m not cute! Stop it right now!” The cat in question would look over to Akira for a moment, a plea for help, even putting on a gaze which would make it hard for any cat lover to say no. But this wasn’t any cat here, this was Morgana. And to be honest… This was a little amusing.
So, even if it was getting in the way of studying, he only shrugged. Accompanied with a fitting grin of course. And that was where the little cat just had to admit defeat and mentally prepare himself for the next cuddle session for a good few hours. Because once Lukanja spotted something adorable, they couldn’t help themself but smother it. And since they knew Morgana a great deal he would be there for a while, cuddled into oblivion.
“Hey! Can you keep it down!? There are customers downstairs!”
I finished the full bodies finally after a week or something. Took a bit longer than expected but here we are. These are for the rentry page I have planned for Lukanja but I'm presenting them here as well.

Sometimes all it takes is one call to stay up longer than necessary. Especially if you have a great listener on the other line. Then again, Ann liked to talk from time to time, a lot. She was usually phoning up her close friend Shiho to catch up on things, especially after she had to transfer schools. However, sometimes things happen where she needed to tell someone asap and knew would be up late into the night. Or at least someone who was ready to listen. And luckily enough, Lukanja was that type of person.
It felt almost that anyone could tell them anything and they would not tell a single soul. Not just that but they would let you finish at any point. Though sometimes they also would give their own opinion, especially if it was something serious and one would seek advice. A great listener, certainly. But sometimes Ann felt a little bad. After all, she was the one mainly doing the talking. Even right now as she was sitting on her bed in her own room. It was rare for them to open up or start a conversation on their own. Maybe she just had to help to get them out of their shell, yeah!
So, once she had finished with her routinely speaking she added: “Oh, by the way, how was your day?”
At first she didn't get a response however though that was nothing unusual. After all, they sometimes took their time to gather their thoughts. It could be hard to speak up all of a sudden. Though the response she got was not something anyone could do much with. “It was fine I guess.”
“Really? Nothing interesting happened?”
“No, not much. Just the usual.”
Hah, yeah… It was always that response. She couldn't say much to that but still… “I see. Anything you wanna talk about then?"
“Ah– No, it’s fine! Really!” They quickly responded, almost as if in a rush. “Besides, don't you have to get ready for bed? Don't you have a photo shoot tomorrow?”
At first Ann wanted to say that Lukanja tried to dodge the question yet again. It's not exactly a rarity. And yet, when her gaze shot up to her clock she saw it… It was almost midnight! Drat! “Ah! I forgot about the time!”
“Hehe, nothing uncommon with you.” She heard them chuckle. “We can talk more later if you want but you go get some rest, alright? I’ll loon forward to hearing about it already.”
“Y… Yes, right! See you!”
“See you.”
And then they both hung up. It really was difficult to get them to open up under these circumstances. But at the same time… They really didn't mind that she was talking their ear off, did they?
