Oh man, I friggin hate crunches. Maybe this way I'll actually do something about my abs!
Just as important as eating healthily is eating seasonal so your food is at peak freshness and flavor.
Office workers and anybody who tends to sit a lot will find these exercises very helpful in alleviating problems and symptoms associated with prolonged sitting. If you are diagnosed with a spinal or back injury, consult with your doctor if these exercises are suitable for you.
Saving this for later!
8/3/18
I have my goal weight on mind, but it's always there, lofty and seemingly hard to reach. So instead of the 30 I want to lose, I decided just to lose 15 for now.
I've been telling all my friends that when I lose 15lb, I'm going to get my first ever tattoo. Everyone is excited and wants to talk about the kind of tattoo and where I'm going to put it and how much I've lost so far. š None. 15 still feels like a long way to go.
So I've set my sights lower. 4lb. I can do 4, right?
I know it sounds fake but you really do have a lot of silent lovers on this planet who look at you and wish they had your smile or your hair color or your humor or your intellect or your intentions or your heart, your manners, your eyes, your ease, even just you. People who are too shy to tell you what they admire about you or what they wish for you or who they see themselves becoming bc of you & theyāre too shy to tell you. even tho it isnāt verbalized, the universe has still heard and the universe has loved you for helping out on its creations. Youāre that person. Youāre you.
This is beautiful.
I regained 8 of the 15lb I lost at he beginning of the year. The only way Iām going to break through this is to be honest and transparent with myself. 20 to go for goal 1.
I frequently get upset at my lack of downward progress on the scale, but you know what? I weigh 13lb less than this photo and have maintained it a whole year. Sure, it's been lower, but I've not even gotten within 10lb of this the whole year.
See ya, 176. We're never ever ever getting back together.
100 Reasons NOT To Kill Yourself
1. We would miss you. 2. Itās not worth the regret. Either by yourself if you failed or just simply left scars, or the regret everyone else feels by not doing enough to help you. 3. Peace out, 2017
Getting my New Year's Resolutions started a few days earlier this year!
Lose 20lb. I lost 22lb in 2017, and I know I can do it again.
Find a healthy way of eating and stick to it. I think I'm going to ease back into very low carb (or at least complex carbs) and focus on whole foods.
Kick the booze. It's a waste of money. I use it to justify my poor eating. AND I need to be a better role model for my kids. Limiting myself to special occasions and date night.
Improve fitness! 10 miles a week. Jog, walk, run, treadmill, doesn't matter. Move! Toss in some yoga and strength training.
Read it, say it, do it.
Good morning everyone! Itās Meal Prep Saturday in Fit Geek land!
2 RECIPES HERE
Lemon Poppy Seed Protien Pancakes
- 3 cups Kodiak buttermilk power cakes mix
- 2 tbsp lemon zest (1 lemon skin grated then freshly from the lemon⦠set lemon aside for now)
- 3 tbsp poppy seeds
- 4 packets of stevia
Mix the dry ingredients. Then add:
- 2 cups water
- 6 eggs
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (take the zested lemon from above and cut in half. Squeeze each half into the bowl. This is about 1 tbsp fresh juice.)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Mix batter. Fry and make pancakes as usual. To save calories, use Pam Canola Oil spray. Use one 0.5second spray before each fry.
Macros in pic. Makes 12-13 7in diameter pancakes.
place 2 pancakes into a 6-5/8x5-7/8 zip lock bag. Place the bags in the freezer. Ready for a microwave be or toaster oven at 5am!
Maple Blueberry Syrup
This is so simple to make. And easy. And fast!!! And, if you donāt like blueberries, then use strawberries or raspberry or blackberries or peaches or watermelon or honeydew or cantaloupe or banana. Let your own individual taste buds explore the world!!!
In a microwave bowl, add:
- 1.5 cups of blueberries (or 1.5 cups of whatever fruit you want)
- 1 cup of Mrs Butterworth sugar-free maple syrup
- 1 tbsp butter. Iām using Smart Balance Heart Healthy Butter, which is 50cal for 1 tbsp instead of 120+cals in regular butter for 1tbsp)
microwave for about a minute for until you start to see the maple syrup bubble. Remove from microwave. Use a fork to mash the Blueberries. Mix. Done. You could use a blender, but Iām lazy and I donāt want to clean syrup and butter out of a blender. Besides, the Blueberries add to the presentation and aestestic.
Macros in mic. Makes 6 servings.
Again, any questions, just ask or anon or 1-1 msg.
Next is veggie stock, chicken stock, and Zuppa Toscana
I'm totally digging this. Reblogging to save.
I REFUSE TO LET MY FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS BE TAKEN AWAY BY THE DEATH OF NET NEUTRALITY
I REFUSE TO HAVE SOMEONE MONITOR MY INTERNET ACTIVITY
I REFUSE TO HAVE TO PAY FOR A SERVICE THAT DOESNāT NEED TO BE PAID FOR
I REFUSE TO HAVE WHAT I SEE CONTROLLED AND MONITORED
I REFUSE
Save Net Neutrality!
Listen. If we donātā¦.
Tons of people will suffer. Those who rely on the internet to escape horrible situations will suffer. Businesses will suffer. YouTubers will suffer. Artists will suffer. Schools will suffer.Ā
EVERYONE, INCLUDING ME, WILL SUFFER. NOT EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO PAY TONS OF MONEY A MONTH FOR USING THE SITES WE ALWAYS USE!
FIGHT HARDER, PEOPLE! FIGHT!
IāM NOT ACTUALLY SURE OF WHAT TO DO, SO GO INTO THE NET NEUTRALITY TAG. FIGHT. WE CAN WIN THIS. WE HAVE NEARLY ONE WEEK TO SAVE SO MANY PEOPLESā LIVES.
If none of my followers reblog the net neutrality shit Iām reblogging
then unfollow me.
NOW!!
This will fuck over all of us if we donāt spread the word. Even if you donāt sign the shit, at least reblog it so our followers will see it.,
Yikes, November!
So I spent November being a bit of mess and decided part of my dumpiness was due to pressure I was putting on myself. I tend to get obsessive over things, and I feel like I was obsessing over too much at once. I gave myself permission to stop obsessing over everything during this month, and it was probably not a smart move.
I ended up gaining weight, losing track of my cycles, and blowing off my running. I managed to curb the weight thing, but if I want to get back on track, it's back to weighing, and counting, and label reading.
It's not fun, but I know it works.
