Did some long exposures with spinning burning steel wool. It was a lot of fun to do and the results were fantastic. This was from summer 2020. Big tip; make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy. While we did not start a fire it was better to be prepared. We also did it near water.
Paradise Meadows on Mount Washington. Located in the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island this is one of the more popular hiking spots on the Island. Great place for landscape photography as well.
One of the many lakes north of Campell River on Vancouver Island. This photo was made with a Nikon EL2, and a Nikkor 24mm f/2.8 both 1977 vintage. The film used was Kodak Ektar 100.
Some of the film cameras I will be working with in the next little while.
Crowman Lake just north of Campell River, BC, Canada. Sometimes just driving down a road will yield great images. All you got to do is get out there.
Vancouver Island is crisscrossed with many logging roads. These roads allow us access to areas we would never be able to get to. The trick is to get out and travel the road less traveled and bring back some great images.
The view from inside the Main Cave at Uppana Caves. As you can see you require a light source if some type when shooting in the caves. Another tip. Bring a helmet. Ask me how I know.... 😂
The Uppana Caves are located on Vancouver Island off the road to Tahsis. Very easy to get to, and fun to explore. The cave pictured is the Corner - Slither Cave.
The caves are self explore. The sign in the parking lot will give approximate times for each cave. Make sure you bring a camera and a tripod. Also, some lights if you are shooting inside the caves.
