I have calculated that I am currently spending 90 minutes a day giving meds to a cat (who does not want them). I cannot leave the house for more than six hours.
Dear friends, please dance for my entertainment.

Imagine your favorite historical figure, watching cat videos on YoyTube
Aaron Burr loved cats. This doesn't appear in any of his published correspondence, but it's described by someone who knew him in his old age (I think it's part of Judge Greenwood's description). My own theory, for various reasons, is that he picked it up from Jeremy Bentham.
Burr was also contemplative, and was comfortable spending whole evenings just smoking cigars and 'musing'.
Can I imagine Aaron Burr idly scrolling through cat videos on his iPhone, with a cigar in his other hand and a glass of claret at his elbow? Let's just say I've essayed more challenging feats of imagination.

every time someone (very politely and genuinely!) tries to ask about a list of hamilton's attacks against burr i try to compile them with the best of intentions but my wires inevitably get so twisted and i like, oftentimes cannot determine what actually counts as an insult and what is hamilton being hamilton. like calling someone TOO dashing and bold. burr will succeed and jefferson will flop and it's better that the democratic-republicans take that L than the federalists. saying jefferson should be elected over burr because jefferson DOESN'T have the balls to actually accomplish anything and if burr became president he'd have the entire western hemisphere under his command in six months. ok
If Aaron Burr, cat-lover, had lived two hundred years later, imagine how many more ways he would have had to spend all his money!
ION, veterinary opthalmologists do not come cheap. And the party bag they gave me doesn't even include cake.
oh my god i just remembered the anonymously published hamburr poem from 1795

Thomas Jefferson 1776
It is 8.10 am and I have already written a long impassioned comment on social media explaining exactly why Thomas Jefferson was EvilBadAndWrong and should be remembered very differently than he is.
I really must investigate whether it's possible to dance on his grave. And learn the words to "Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead".
Imagine your favorite historical figure having to babysit 10 loud babies and just lying exhausted on the floor while the babies crawl all over him/her
Claude: Now let me read the three reference files to see their structure.
Claude: I have all the information I need. Now I'll add the parameters sections to all four reference files.

Imagine your favorite historical figure picking you up bridal style and spinning with you round and round.
There are historical figures I love, historical figures I hate, and historical figures I spend hours on because having one consistent personality was, apparently, too difficult.
Has Aaron Burr ever met his grandson
Oh, yes.
Burr actually travelled to South Carolina at around the time of the birth, and whipped Theodosia and her newborn baby off to New York only a little time after (what Alston thought of this, biographies do not relate).
He also met him briefly during his travels south in 1804, and then in 1806 he wrote this to his conspirator-to-be Blennerhassett:
"My movements for the summer, as far as can now be ascertained, will be to return to Philadelphia to-morrow, to pass one month (something less) in that vicinity; thence to Bedford, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, where I may remain several weeks, taking excursions to Pittsburgh, Union Town, etc. The mountain part of my project is for the health of my daughter, who has just come on from South Carolina, to pass the season with me. I would take her on to your house, if it were not for the extreme inconvenience of re-ascending, especially with the encumbrance of a three year-old child."
I believe that this was the last time Burr ever saw his adored Gampy. And he never received any of the "precious letters" that his grandson wrote him while he was in Europe.
to be fair to Jefferson: his daughter did JUST die
you absolutely do not Have To Be Fair to thomas jefferson
