BTW in Italian you not only can say "Non ho parole..." (=I have no words -literal translation), but when things are heavy/you feel nervous or angry you can also add "... solo parolacce!" (=only curse words!) and I think it's beautiful

This post is about expressions mentioning human balls. Not that I’m proud of it but we do have a few. Can be used with personal pronouns rather than “ça”.

Ça me casse/pète/brise les couilles “it’s breaking my balls” : it’s pissing me off (you can use the ovaries version if you like)

Ça me fout les boules “it’s giving me the balls” : it’s scary, bothering

Avoir des couilles “having nuts” : being brave

Je m’en bats les couilles “I’m slapping my balls over it” : I don’t care

Il y a une couille dans le potage “there’s a nut in the soup” : something seems wrong 

Partir en couille : a situation or person is getting out of control

Avoir/se faire des couilles en or “getting golden balls” : being/getting rich

Coûter la peau des couilles “costing ball skin” : being very expensive

Et mes couilles sur ton nez ça fait des lunettes “my balls on your nose look like sunglasses” / Et mes couilles sous ton menton ça fait un dindon “my balls under your chin look like a turkey” : easy way out when you want someone to shut up

I respect people who go after their masters and phd degrees cuz i want to be far away from academia or studies after i finish my specialization. i love learning, but i'm so done with it. maybe one day, but i am still traumatized from getting my undergraduate degree while working full time.

I got a little notebook to plan my day, and it has actually been so useful. i tend to put things off for later but i feel like i try to do what i can each day, and i've been procrastinating so much less.

I’ve been having the best time in the U.K. It’s surreal. I’m not used to being on my own and i was so freaking anxious the first two days as it was my first time abroad in over a decade. But I’ve begun to enjoy today.

It’s bittersweet because I wish i had someone to speak to while here. I keep hearing conversations around me and i wish i could take part in them. It’s made me realize how bleak my life is back home.

More late night finance study sessions ~ I’m trying to finish this Financial Analysis Fundamentals course.
