Hello 80 followers I'm alive!
just realized i have tumblr since 2015-16 wow im a veteran
hi guys i miss tumblr but i don't use it anymore :(
Ryan: I'm actually angry that I'm even talking about it right now
Curly: Aw, you miss him
“If I was murdered by a ghost, what would your reaction be?”
Ryan: “I… I’d probably be very sad. Then I would have to–(….) The show’s over, obviously.”
Shane: “No! You’d be looking for my ghost, then. That’s fun.”
Ryan: “I’m not gonna lie, I don’t think I’d be thinking about the show if you died, so, that’s–”
Shane: “If you died, I’d be thinking about the show.”
Ok guys I know there are some people out there who think “wow Shane why” and Ryan played it off with “good moral compass there man” but. But. I am so emotional over this.
Unsolved is basically Ryan’s baby. Even Shane said so, that Ryan is the one behind Unsolved. Not him. Even though he is also the one who made Unsolved the way it is now, he thinks Ryan is the one behind most of it (and it’s true).
What makes me really really emotional is that Ryan is ready to ditch Unsolved if anything happened to Shane. His biggest accomplishment. His baby. All of it means nothing if Shane’s not there (which is probably why he’s kinda disgruntled if Shane’s going on vacation and absent from doing Postmortem, but that’s a story for another day). The way he says ‘obviously’, like it’s just something that’s fixed, had me in pieces.
But Shane. The skeptical Shane. He’s bewildered by the thought that Ryan is gonna just end the show if he is dead because of the paranormals, which is, to be fair, the most compelling evidence if that happens. He thought Ryan would be looking for his ghost, since if a ghost is capable of murdering him then it must meant that ghost exist and he could be one of them. But Ryan said he couldn’t even bear to just think about Unsolved if Shane died.
And then.
What really made me clutch my heart.
Shane fucking said that he’d be thinking about the show if Ryan died.
I. I think this is fucking sweet, and I don’t think even Shane himself realised this when he said that, because he can be sweet without realising it (remember Ruining History?). Why, you ask?
Because he doesn’t want Ryan to dissapear from this world. In his own way. If Unsolved keeps going, even if Ryan died, regardless of Shane’s stance on believing in ghost and whatnot, people will always remember Ryan. And I don’t think there could be a thing sweeter than that.
Honestly, their friendship is so touching.
Lawrd I'm crying
A real life good omens but crowley is Shane Madej and aziraphale is Ryan Bergara
it's canon i don't make the rules
staff at checkout: that’ll be $9.95 me: here’s $10.00 me: keep the change
Why does he look like rdj on every possible drug on the planet
missing season 1 guzman don't bother me
I love these shots sm,, we need more ander being soft with his homies in s2
THIS DID NOT AGE WELL
*minor inconvenience happens in my life*
me: fuck you crowley FUCK YOU
Can we talk about how Aziraphale looked mildly interested when Crowley slammed him against the wall here
His eyes shifted down a little, what’s on your mind, Aziraphale?
And when the nun lady appeared, “break up” their “intimate moment” Upon her voice, Crowley turned to look right away while this bastard angel was still too busy enjoying himself, he was totally unfazed
*Stares*
*Stare intensifies* “ aww bby you’re so dreamy heaven can’t compare”
And after like two beats, he finally *registered* the interrupting sound and graced the source with his attention along with a mildly bored expression
A little annoyed, actually * internally* “ HOW DARE YOU, LADY OVER THERE”
AND BONUS : when Aziraphale scolded Crowley for paralyzing the nun, saying “ you didn’t have to do that”
his FACE
Very well, Aziraphale, very very well, priority set straight right.
crowley + sunglasses
more like crowley + hairstyles
weve talked a LOT about how genius crowley-as-aziraphale is but can we get into aziraphale-as-crowley? it’s almost blatant how aziraphale he is, even from the get-go, and yet if you weren’t looking for a swap you’d never see it coming. but there are all these little clues:
he’s not swaggering when he comes into the scene, which should be a dead giveway honestly he’s just sort of walking like a normal person which we’ve literally never seen him do
he says “guys” and “dude” like three times a sentence, which does come across a lot like aziraphale, who does not talk with much slang (at least, currently-in-use slang) at all, overcompensating in order to achieve what, to him, is what crowley actually sounds like
the way he speaks is different, just a bit - quieter, less with the dramatic differences in inflection from moment to moment and more sort of unconsciously manners-y. you can hear the fussiness
that’s not to say he’s doing a bad impression of crowley. he’s doing a pretty damn decent one, after all, he’s listened to him talk for thousands of years, he knows what he’s like
it’s just that he can’t help but be himself, he is remembering to react to the big things in Very Crowley Ways, but the little things escape his notice, and so that’s also why he overcompensates a bit
also of course it’s to telegraph to the audience that Something Is Different (just not enough to give it away too soon)
anyway big thanks to david for putting in his A game once again
FURTHERMORE:
crowley-as-aziraphale getting back into the bookshop Does The Walk
just barely
but he’s doing it to the best of his ability in that short-legged lil body
thank u also mr sheen
Also don't forget the signature "tickety-boo",, i was totally like ooo crowley learnt azi's slang but nah crowley is too cool for that
one of my favourite scenes in good omens is when crowley drives through the fucking ring of fire (M25) blasting Queen at max volume while "im in love with my car" plays in the background
it was peak chaotic good
Hi pretty one. Could you confirm that you cried as much as I did in the fifth episode yesterday with his last scene together???
Heyyyyyy. ^^ <3
I did. T__T
It wasn’t just that one scene, it was a build up of scenes.
Boris coughing in the court. It was so natural that for a nanosecond I thought “wtf did they keep the footage of Stellan coughing?”
Nope, that wasn’t Stellan coughing, that was Boris dying.
And look at Valery’s concerned stare right there.
He knows.
Boris is dying. My Boris is dying.
Still Valery’s so proud of Boris becoming a nuclear reactor expert that his eyes are following him around.
And then Boris coughs *again* and Valery can’t take his eyes off him as his friend leaves the room.
After the bench scene Valery is a changed man. He’s still staring at Boris, almost mesmerized. He’s determined. As someone said, Ulana couldn’t convince him to tell the truth, but Boris’ illness did. Their talk was the turning point for Valery.
Ulana notices the change in Valery and looks at them both. She knows what happened. She knows how important Boris is to Valery. She knows Boris made the difference she couldn’t.
You see, it’s one thing to see thousands dying of radiation, to see yourself dying of radiation, but it’s a different story when someone you love dies. It’s personal. We’re talking about a different level of pain and anger here.
And THIS is why the bench scene is so important. It’s not just shippy, it goes deeper. It’s what steers Valery into motion. Brilliant storytelling right there.
Boris is in the brink of tears, not only because he’s watching his own life falling through his fingers but because he knows that what he told Valery will seal his fate.
However he will stand by his side until the end.
“We’re in this together. You know it. I know it.”
Boris’ glare says it all. “You’d better tell them everything, buddy.”
That’s Boris contradicting himself. Changing his mind.
I’m SO glad he did not just change his mind about “bravery” and whether its worth it or not. I’m glad he became the very reason why Valery is being brave. I’m like so glad. I’m happy.
And of course this whole scene is about Boris. Boris *knows* Valery is talking about him here.
And then we have the chilling scene with Chairman Charkov, I swear I was hoping for a scene like that; the state crushing Valery, stomping on his spirit. And to top it all? It’s not just about Valery losing his job, his authority, his duties, his reputation.
It’s about him losing his friends. The ones most important to him. Boris and Ulana.
Charkov first plays the intimidation card.
But he’s an experienced sadist and he can see that threat doesn’t work with Valery who doesn’t blink an eye, Valery who is already dying of cancer. So he changes his tune.
See, this is not just Charkov threatening to hurt Valery’s friends. This is Charkov practically telling him “I know what hurts you the most, worm, and I’m going to twist the knife so deep you’ll be wishing for that bullet.”
That sounds kinda… childish, doesn’t it? As if Valery is grounded or something. But it hits the target.
And to seal the deal, to make sure we, the viewers, understand what this is all about (Valery losing Boris and Ulana) we have this scene here. The sheer heartbreak in everyone’s eyes.
Valery’s last goodbye. A speechless nod through a car window. They even deprived them of a proper goodbye.
By now you’d think this is about both Boris and Ulana, right? Because they’re both standing there, silently bidding farewell to Valery.
No it’s not. This is about Valery and Boris. Because Boris’ face is the last thing Valery sees. The only thing he sees. That familiar face, the tears in his eyes.
Everyone will forget Valery.
Everyone but Boris.
Fuck I'm crying
