"S-Solar Boy?! How do you…the Gun Del Sol…"

Django paused, then asked, “This wouldn’t have anything to do with some magic spell, would it?”

  "Well, I didn’t get much training here…"

He gestured to the armor on his body. “What about this form, though? I never got the name of it…”

Lan blinked. "Oh, did you mean, Double Soul?"

"Ah, hello there! I haven't seen you around before. It's nice to meet you!"

Django! Django!! Can you believe it!? Look! I'm a Solar Boy, too! I've even got my own GunDelSol! It's not even a materialized BattleChip or anything, it's an ACTUAL GunDelSol!

"S-Solar Boy?! How do you…the Gun Del Sol…"

Django paused, then asked, “This wouldn’t have anything to do with some magic spell, would it?”

  Django smiled and blushed.

"Hehe…guess I am! Admittedly, using a sword wasn’t quite as easy as I thought it’d be—Nidhoggr gave me some trouble there."

He paused, then asked, “SearchSoul is based off of someone, right? Do you know of anyone who has a form similar to what this is?”

Lan tilted his head to the side somewhat. "I thought you'd be great at using swords! You were in the comics!" He cheered.

"But anyways, yeah! I do! Searchman -- he gave Megaman the SearchSoul ability, too!"

  "Ah ha ha, no need to be so modest child. There are few who can accomplish such miracles." Serenade chuckled at the boy’s reaction to his complement. Though his words rung true that most adults couldn’t hope to compare to his accomplishments. Who would have thought that this young man would save the world 6 times.

"If you’re itching for a battle, the Undernet is always up for the challenge."

A small glint could of mischief could be seen in the Underking’s eyes. “In fact, I’ve had my subordinates upgrade my Secret Area with some more… devious traps. And much stronger Viruses of course.”

Lan decided to take the compliment in stride this time, offering a smile as he blushed at the other. Miracles? Even if he thought that was taking things a bit too far, he was honored to hear that his feats -- and Megaman's -- were so valued by others.

Upon hearing mention of a challenge, however, his demeanor changed, a grin appearing on his face.

"Oh, have you now? It's been a while since Megaman and I have ventured into the Secret Area... heading inside again should be fun, especially with your new traps and viruses!

We'll show you just how much we've grown since we last met, Serenade!"

  "His health has been steadily getting better each time I see him. From what I hear, he has recently been interested Net Battling. It wouldn’t surprise me if he asks to be my NetOp one day.” 

Serenade let out a soft chuckle as he brought a hand over his mouth to hide his bemusement.

"It really is all thanks to you Lan. Both you and Megaman. I must thank you, once more."

Lan wore a bashful expression on his face as Serenade complimented him.

He shook his head.

"R-Really, Serenade, there's no need to thank Megaman and I. We did what any friend would do! I'm just really glad to hear that he's been doing alright!"

Though he didn't display it too well, Lan was rather embarrassed, being complimented by a Navi of such importance and power. "And I'm glad you've been well, too. Hopefully, we can have another NetBattle sometime! I'm looking forward to seeing how Mamoru has grown!"

"Woah, it’s Serenade!!

This is so cool! It’s been too long!”

"It has been quite a long time, hasn’t it child? You’ve really grown since we’ve last met.

How have you and Megaman been fairing?”

 "We've been doing well, thank you! I hope you've been doing well, too!

And... how's Mamoru been?"

Taka: Senpai! You look so heroic~! If I had known we were cosplaying, I would have brought mine!

"Aww, thanks, Taka!!"

"I didn’t know you had a Boktai cosplay, too! Who did you make a cosplay of!?"

Taka: Oh, well…it’s not a Boktai cosplay…(I haven’t gotten around to it)…

Taka: But isn’t it super heroic?!

"Uwah, it totally is!

You could kick butt and look cute while doing it.

I wonder if I can manage a costume like that... Aki-chan's costume was really comfortable, actually!"

  Django nodded and concentrated, trying to feel for the power within him. Black armor covered his body, his scarf turning a light shade of blue. The Gun Del Sol transformed into a sword the right size for Django to handle as he drew the weapon.

"…ta-da."

Lan stared in awe.

He couldn't believe what he'd just seen! A human, performing Double Soul! When he himself tried it while Crossfused with MegaMan, it took quite the heavy toll on his body. Yet, Django seemed practically unphased by it! It was...

"Amazing!" Lan's eyes sparkled as he stared at Django's changed form. "You're really something, you know that, Django?"

'My character has had a rough day and lays their head on your character's shoulder/lap. Send me your muses reaction.' Lan slowly and gently ruffles Django's hair, allowing the boy to rest as much as he needs to. "You look exhausted, Django... what happened to you? I've got all the time in the world to hear you out!"

"Meh…just exhausted. Sped through a dungeon in an entire day. I’m pretty sure my body will get back at that soon enough…"

"If you say so, Django... hey, don't push yourself so hard! ...Besides, there's another Solar Boy in town," he pauses to point at himself, before returning to trying to soothe Django, "so you don't have to worry about doing anything on your own, okay?"

Lan gave an excited cheer.

"Am I really allowed to see it!? Really!? I'd love to!"

  "An anon gave it to me. I used it to defeat Hresvelgr at the Ancient Solar Tree…maybe the other power I got is this Double Soul thing too?" he wondered.

"It could be!" Lan gave an interested nod. "Just imagine the kinds of Navis you could bond with... the kind of powers you could unlock. More importantly, the kinds of friends you can make!"

  "I…I wound up with a fraction of his power. I doubt it’s as strong as it would be if I actually had the cybeast, but…ah well. The other two aren’t so bad, although I swear the being who gave me one of them called that one…SearchSoul, was it…?"

"S-Search Soul!? You can use Double Soul, too!? That's incredible!"

Lan didn't know that others aside from MegaMan could use that ability!

"How on earth did you attain that!?"

Lan may have seemed overexcited, but it's not every day he gets to watch robots eat human food.

  "I kind of got some control over Gregar’s power…and I got these two powers that I don’t know just what they are…one makes my Gun Del Sol bigger and gives me greenish armor, while the other transforms my gun into a sword and gives me black armor…"

"G-Gregar!? But how...!?"

Lan was baffled. The power of the Cybeasts, affecting humans!? "At least the other two don't seem so bad..."
