Wow what a great and yet horrifying way to illustrate comparative anatomy. I’m in awe. These are brilliant and extremely accurate and I kind of hate looking at them for too long. Look at that turtle one. That is exactly how a turtle skeleton is weird. I’ve seen illustrations like these before but never executed so well.

I was going to ask if there was a pattern for this but I think I found it . Unsure if the border as above is included in the pattern or was improvised by the knitter. It’s very nice though.

The border looks like Ocean Waves edge lace, knit after the main body as a strip running clockwise around the whole thing.

Looking at that main wrap, god damn, placing that many beads without a repeating pattern across that many rows of stockingette....

So, our characters died.

In the afterlife, which turns out to be more like limbo than the final stop, we all look different (except for our totally chill monk).  Gwen ended up going from a bird person to a person bird, if that makes sense.

OH BOY did Ryybyn ever get a change. Of course, dying would do that.

Ryybyn’s soul was corrupted by Ragnaxxa when they used the dragon shard way back when, which was also leading them to a slow gruesome death until death came abruptly. Still, the end result is the same: Ryybyn became a reaver, a malevolent spirit, full of self-loathing and spite. They have a whole new set of abilities and have gone from squishy rear-support bard to highly mobile fuck-you-up HP-regenerating gish with a set of nasty spells.

Being dead and in the afterlife let me go more loosey goosey with their appearance and I somehow ended up with the simpliest looking Ryybyn ever, hah. But I’m really happy with it. Their appearance is mostly based on when they channelled the shard and their personality is pretty much unfiltered Nega-Ryybyn. Hell, this basically is Nega-Ryybyn. The rest of the party was bound to meet them sooner or later.

[Mars D&D tag]

Today’s D&D session had the players running around in caves and the ancient (underground) canals of Mars! They fought a Water Bear (p much a bear-sized tardigrade) and joined forced with a lost Goblin Spider-Rider, Teotet’ka. Exploring the canal led them to some ruins where they found some dead people and then fought a magical spectre-generator door. On the other side of the door was a cool map of old-world stuff.

I had a few ice maps here that I allowed the players to slide around on video game like, that was fun. But the door trap was all based on targeting and draining Intelligence and I worry it may have been a little hard. They made it in the end, though!
