Starstruck || Muffy & Lanna

Another day at the theatre, another normal day. That was what Muffy was expecting when she made her way to work. Someone was coming to audition for her today, which was always exciting, Muffy loved welcoming new talent into the theatre. The current cast brought a whole range of talent to the stage, but putting someone fresh, new and exciting was always a treat.
Muffy walked to the theatre, a smile on her face and a spring in her step. Every day felt like a dream, probably because she was living her dream. All she needed now was a nice guy to share that with, but that would come with time, she was sure. She was finally in a spot where she could see herself having everything she ever wanted.
She paused. A blonde woman was stood outside the theatre. Not just any blonde woman, no, she was the spitting image of Muffy’s favourite idol, Lanna Rose Mayfield. She hadn’t done anything new recently, which disappointed Muffy, not least because she’d memorised the words to to every song on her album, and there was only so many times she could put on a mini concert in her apartment.
She waved cheerily at the lady as she approached, having decided that it couldn’t possibly be Lanna. What would Lanna be doing here, in Altelia City? As she got nearer she only felt more suspicious, and slightly nervous, it really did look a lot like Lanna…
“Hello!” She put a hand out to the girl, “I’m Muffy. Are you here to audition?”
When was the last time she was in an empty theatre? Weeks? Months? Years? Too long, for certain. She missed the feeling of the audience gazing at her under the hot spotlight. She missed the applause and the screaming fans as they tried to bombard her after the show. She missed the pop star life, but that world seemed too far gone for her grasp, so this would have to do.
Brown eyes gazed upon the large, brick building before her. What if the employer hated her? What if she couldn’t carry a tune anymore? She’d been practicing since she left for her “break”, but what if it was a futile effort? A small pit of anxiety was welling up in her stomach, pitch black with negativity, but this wasn’t her. She was an optimist! Shaking it off, she took a deep breath. Surely they would love her! She was Lanna Rose after all! Who cared if her albums stopped selling after the first hit; she was amazing and she was going to sell it.
“I can do this!” With a hoot and a holler, Lanna gave a small jump and twisted on her heel just in time to see a blonde waving towards her whom she was certain was the employer. You can do this.
The woman couldn’t have been much older than her, and she was certainly pretty. That thought only became more solidified the closer the other woman came. Putting on her best, winning smile, her features glowing in a way that only a celebrities could, she stuck out her own hand to shake the woman’s — Muffy’s.
“Hello~ It’s a pleasure to meet you, Muffy!” She let out a light giggle, “Yep! My name is Lanna Mayfield. We talked on the phone the other day and I was so nervous I forgot to give you my name! Silly me~” Here goes nothing.
Something New || Shea & Lanna

Sitting cross legged in front of their apartment entrance, Shea waited patiently for Lanna to return home. His hands were pressed against the floor, just in front of his legs, as he leaned forward, expectantly. The blonde was sure to be home soon, right? Right. And so, he’d wait, staring at the door until it opened!
How long was it before he heard footsteps approaching their door? Before he saw the handle start to turn? Shea wasn’t sure, but he was sure it wasn’t that long! He would’ve been fine waiting longer, he often waited longer to catch dinner when he was in the forest. But that was besides the point. Right now, the door was opening, and he soon found himself grinning up at his roommate.
“Lanna!” he exclaimed in greeting, excitement clear in his voice.
It was only an hour or so after leaving that Lanna returned from her grocery shopping. Hopping backwards from the carriage, paper bags full of food items in hand, the blonde spun on her heel and stumbled forward. With a light squeak, she managed to regain her composure, the heels of her wedges teetering against the curb. She could hear the cab driver asking if she needed any help, to which she responded with a small hum of declination. The response she got from that was the sound of the carriage wheels rolling away against the pavement. Adjusting her hold on the bags, Lanna made her way into the apartment building and towards her home where she was sure Shea would be waiting diligently for her.
Shea. It wasn’t everyday you come across a Tarzan man living in the scorched remains of Fugue Forest, let alone take him into your care with the promise of helping him enter society, but that’s exactly what happened to her. Her friends didn’t approve, and if her parents ever returned her calls she was near certain that her folks would throw a fit. The boy wasn’t bad at all though, no, not in the slightest. Once you got past the ‘scary-spear-in-the-face’ first impression, he was actually a very kind boy. Perhaps boy wasn’t the right word, he was the same age as her after all. Yes, he was certainly a man in terms of technicalities and appearance, but internally he seemed like nothing more than a boy, and she really did mean that in the kindest way possible.
“Shea~ I’m hooooome!” Lanna let out in a sing-song tone, managing to push the door open without dropping the groceries. “I bought those fish sticks you like—” She was cut off by the sound of her name far closer and far louder than she expected, and with the bags of groceries covering her face, she was unable to see the voice in question before she was practically jumping out of her skin, grocery bags landing on the floor with a bang.
Stumbling back, the blonde bent over slightly and quickly covered her face. A low whine left her lips and she shook back and forth fervently. “Sheaaaa!!” She sobbed, “You scared meeee!” Uncovering her face, she shot her Tarzan a small pout.
