Unfortunately, I've been dwelling on Garp's character.... fuck that nigga, I'm sorry.

Like I try to give him grace sometimes but like... I just rewatched some of Marineford... he's truly just a govt dog bro.

He was always roaring on about Luffy and Ace becoming marines but it's like... nigga you dropped them off to live with BANDITS. IN THE MOUNTAINS. What in the blue blazing fuck made you think they were going to turn out to be admirals??

And Garp RARELY visited them, and when he did, he was just punching them upside the head. I think it's very telling Garp's son, and both his grandson's turned their backs to the marines. And it's telling that Garp would rather stay with the Marines than Join his boys in making things right.

Garp was at God Valley, he knew what the fuck the WG was doing, and he stayed. Dragon saw that shit and DIPPED. I think Oda does a good job with making Garp this loveable grandpa to hide that fact that he's actually terrible lmfao.

He risked his life for Koby but not his grandkid? Hell, even Kizaru and Kuma spared your grandson's life nigga are we fr. How is everyone rallying behind your grandson's but YOU?

Then you got nerve to get mad seeing Akainu put a hole through Ace... don't get mad now fuck nigga, YOU LET IT HAPPEN.

He sat there and berated his grandson, laughed in his face and put the blame of an entire war on his shoulders like?? Excuse me?? That's the last thing he fucking needs.

Ace was one of the few GOOD pirates, him and Whitebeard both just wanted a family, and they used their strength to keep an ENTIRE race (fishmen) safe from humans/the world government. They genuinely protected people and what, stole some treasure here and there? God forbid.

Your grandson is begging you to kill him and your response is "it's too late we made the King of the Sea mad. War is inevitable"?? NIGGA YOU COULD'VE FREED HIM??? THAT WOULD'VE STOPPED EVERYTHING.

You can make the weak ass case that he was just doing his job, yeah that seems to be the case for every admiral/vice admiral, every time they "do their job" innocent people die, that's not an excuse.

So many people suffered and grieved because Garp couldn't get his mouth off that government schlong.

Dadan, Yamato, Luffy, Sabo, Marco. So many people could've been saved.

Then when he got to the execution block you want to KEEP berating him, calling him a fool, asking why he didn't lead the life you told him to lead. Making him feel even worse...

HOW?? HE WAS BEING RAISED BY BANDITS? Why didn't you bring him into the Marines WITH YOU??

Garp has no right to grieve. He didn't try raising Ace or Luffy, there was absolutely a way for them to be raised on a marine base. Garp didn't even try.

I'm so glad Garp is fucked right now. His loyalty to the government absolutely needs to bite him in the ass. You did all that bootlicking just to end up in chains, put there by someone you trained, someone you basically raised. Shit came full circle.

Just like Kizaru's loyalty bit him in the ass on egghead.

Even Aokiji has suffered since he left the marines. Sengoku suffered when he lost Corazon.

I need clingy Sans. Genuinely I need Sans who can front as being a chill boyfriend so as to not freak you out but like…he loves being around you so much. It’s a palpable ache in his soul when you’re not around.

He first realizes this when he’s out, getting up to his normal stupidity at Grillby’s on a night you had to work, and it just…wasn’t as fun without you giggling and leaning on his shoulder.

His clinginess doesn’t come off as possessive or controlling, more that he just would rather be around you than not. Going to the grocery store? He’ll tag along. Going on a walk? He needed to stretch his legs anyway. Going clubbing? Not his scene, but hey, he’s always up to try something new (lying).

Of course, if you need space, he’ll gladly give it to you, but say the word and he’s right back by your side with an arm thrown over your shoulder or his head in your lap while you watch TV.

Idk I just think this guy would love to have his S/O within arms reach, even if they’re not even doing anything together.

i think there should be more fics talking about how Lucy had no real friends before Fairy Tail.

i think it would be something that she'd have to adjust to and it would take time. like things that seem so usual and normal for the guild people (in this case we'll go with team natsu members) shock her for a moment.

running errands? Erza's def tagged along with Gray and Natsu while going grocery shopping to make sure they bought the necessities. i like to think they'd kind of help lucy adjust with suddenly living alone, too. if Lucy complained about needing to do some shopping, or passing up on a fun thing to take care of business— they'd just simply adjust their plans.

listening to people ramble about things they don't know anything about and ACTUALLY caring. When Erza talks about new armors, Natsu and Gray will ask questions, or Happy will ask if he can add fish decals to 'improve' the design. and when lucy offhandedly mentions something about constellations or some history fact, she's not prepared for four pairs of eyes to blink at her and expect her to go on.

Like it SHOULD be talked about how lucy spent YEARS surrounded by people who werent her friends (ofc the staff cared for her, i am not discrediting that), and when she couldnt summon her spirits, she was just alone— and then suddenly she's got this group of incredibly loyal friends who WONT leave her alone. (especially not natsu and happy)
