Edward absolutely LOVES that you're obsessed with music. Tbh that's probably why he looked your way in the first place. Your love for music lured him in.
When y'all are officially dating he is more open to giving you compliments. Even if your voice isn't perfect to others-- it's beautiful to him.
Tapping, whispering lyrics, humming, all of that is cute to him. He loves watching you get lost in it.
Edward is excited to teach you more. All you have to do is ask and he will spend hours teaching you new songs, showing you new (old) artists you may not know about. He isn't a professional by any means but he's got a good grasp on art in general.
Not a fan of today's music. They cuss too much. They say odd.. things. Edward is so old fashioned, you'll have to deal with his rants and negative opinions.

You give into his request and sing once more. There's no time to feel embarrassed or shy. He listens to your voice with such sincerity. He smiles a little if your voice shakes. Not because it's funny-- no, he thinks it sounds adorable.
He truly craves sleep like he does blood. If he were able to sleep he'd dream of you. All of you. Your voice, your scent, your smile, your heartbeat. Everything.

We all know this man is SUFFERING from raging jealousy issues. It's less of "I own you" and more like he's depressed thinking of horrible scenarios.
If you have a best friend of the opposite sex he might act bitter around them/when they're mentioned.
He understands you deserve emotional connections and support from other people. You don't have to worry about him keeping you hostage or anything.
Edward will ALWAYS be with you though.. there's nothing strong enough to keep him away from his mate. Unless he needs to hunt.
Since he's gifted with the ability to read minds he can easily find out who's crushing on you and if they have any vulgar thoughts about you. Edward definitely lost his calm demeanor once or twice.
If looks could kill? Oh yeah. Whoever is trying to snatch you away from him would drop dead from his glares. Ice cold. Threatening.
Edward uses physical touch for silent reassurance. He grabs your hand. Squeezes gently. Pulls you closer. Kisses your forehead. Rubs your lower back.
Soft eye contact with you. He honestly looks like a kicked puppy sometimes. He's practically begging you to stay with him. Please take the time to ease his anxiety. He'll appreciate it more than you expect.
Edward's never angry at you whenever he gets jealous. He's pissed at the person who managed to get under his cold skin. The minute he looks at you he softens and asks for permission to hold you.
Remember that scene in eclipse after Jake kissed Bella? Yeah, you'll see that type of outburst at least once. Oops.
The best way to comfort him during these episodes of jealousy is to baby him. Cuddle him. Whisper words of affirmations. Confess your affection and love shamelessly. Although he has a habit of trying to convince you NOT to feel that way, he'll learn to like it and eventually love hearing you talk so highly of him.
It's rare he speaks when jealous. But when he does it's obvious what mood he's in. His words are sharp. Sentences are short. Full of irritation and dominance.
"They're busy with me tonight."
"They're taken."
"I'm their boyfriend."
"They don't want you here." (He has no problem speaking up for you, if that's what you prefer.)
Edward kisses you a little too passionately in front of others. Especially at school in the parking lot. He knows people are staring. He wants everyone to see you're all his and always will be.

Days blurred and nights were impossible to escape. Skipping school to sleep all day-- only to be wide awake at night.
Reasoning with yourself stopped working. You know deep down there is no valid reason or excuse for your absence in his life. Your mind is full of static. So loud yet numb. It's selfish to think about him solving all your problems. All the mistakes you've made. He doesn't deserve to carry that weight of responsibility. Maybe leaving him is for the best.
You've ignored all phone calls. Refused to attend school. Skipped meals. Brushing your teeth eventually took a toll. Rolling out of bed suddenly felt impossible. And the worst part is that no one else noticed. Not even your family. Avoiding him was your personal dose of hell. All you truly wanted was to be held. Hear his voice. Snuggle against his cold chest. But he couldn't touch you. Not anymore. Not after what happened half a year ago.
One second was all it took. He nearly lost control after the accident. Your blood tempted him more than you'd like to admit. Part of you felt terrified-- and that scared you more than the possibility of getting killed by him. You were far more worried about learning to fear him, as he always wanted you to. Hiding in the shadows waiting to strike when no one is looking? Truth is-- it's him out there. He's never really left you. He watches from a healthy distance and yet it still pains him to hear your desperation from the way you cry into the pillow.
Your thoughts can only get so loud. He's over the limit. He cannot cope with your internal feelings and thoughts of harming yourself-- or even worse, taking your life. Edward wants to save you from yourself. That seems to be a recurring issue in the strained relationship.

You've gotten your wish to be held by him again. He's colder than ice-- the lack of heartbeat reminds you he's not normal. He'll never be. You'll age and die while he stays forever seventeen.
And for a moment-- you relax. Knowing this pain and heartache won't last forever is comforting.
The tv static fades into a familiar lullaby he wrote. Edward hums lowly into your ear, trying to lure you into the blissful state of mind where nothing matters for a few hours-- sleep.
He guides you to sleep and you foolishly believe he'll be there when you wake up. At least he was kind enough to turn off the tv for tonight.
I'm rewatching Twilight and I noticed for the first time that like...Edward is super nervous ! He's well aware that Bella has heard the others in high school say that he's a freak and when Bella goes to his room for the first time he's so...scared?? He looks like he's expecting her to just say "that's enough i LEAVE bye freak" at anytime...
The way he says "it's..Debussy" and you can clearly see that he loves this music and that it means a lot to him, but then he seems to suddenly remember who is with him and just looks at her like he's apologizing for liking this kind of music and just softly says "idk..." And the poor baby is so scared bc Bella isn't repelled by him being a "monster" but omg imagine if she doesn't like HIM, like what makes Edward EDWARD (music tastes, habits, etc)....
Like he probably thought all his vampire life that no one would ever hang out with a vampire, but actually someone does, and now... Ed is scared that she might be repelled by his personnality

Edward kept his voice low and smooth, careful not to startle you with any sudden noise since you've been sleeping on and off for most of the day.
You sigh at his concern. This pulls a frustrated expression from his pale face. "Y/N, you've got to understand your safety is everything to me. You need to tell me how you feel because I have no way of knowing. It's very.. irritating."
"I'm fine, Edward. I promise.. I'd feel even better ifโ"
"If what? Tell me. I'll do anything to help you feel healthy like before." Edward's soft yet deep gaze forced your stomach to swirl and twist with butterflies. You rely on touch to communicate what you want by grabbing his sleeved arm and tugging gently. You want him closer, close enough to feel his ice cold temperature. He only hesitates for a second before giving in. Within a minute you've got him seated next to you. He's the puppet, you're the master with the strings. Anyone could make this assumption.
"You're burning up, Y/N." Another agonizing sigh leaves his lips. You're tempted to lecture him about these common and overly sensitive reactions but you know he'd never let you win a conversation like that. How he sees himself as the worst safety hazard for you will unfortunately never change.
You don't feel the need to speak again. All you give in response is a lazy nod and closing your eyes with the intention of falling back asleep. Maybe the fever will break with the help of his touch.

You're awakened again by the annoying beeping of machines. Nurses knocking on the door. Loud chatter in the halls. The lack of his presence. For some reason you always wake up if he leaves. Part of you feels more and more empty as the seconds go by without him. Thankfully, only five minutes later, he comes back with a small collection of snacks and drinks specifically for you. He remembers all your favorites and least favouritesโ Edward, still to this day, cringes at the memory of him giving you a snack you hated since childhood. "I've brought you some fresh water and fruit snacks. Do you want to try eating again?" His voice beautiful as always, it never fails to make your heart skip a beat. He notices. Every single time.
Edward was a better nurse than the real ones. Extremely protective and ridiculously good at reading your body language to pin point specific symptoms and how to help them fade faster. The mixture of his ice cold skin with your feverish temps didn't go unnoticed. Edward selfishly enjoyed your natural heat while biting back every smile whenever you tried moving closer to cool off. Your comfort never improved because of the medication or fluids through IV. It came from himโ the simple fact that he was there beside you. And you're positive that if he were able to read your mind, he'd probably have a higher chance of believing you genuinely think good of him.
Stupid tiktok songs looping in your mind for days? Painfully annoying.

If you're the type to laugh about your past trauma he isn't going to like it. He's too depressing and serious when it comes to your past/future.
Edward will never judge you. He's very supportive of your interests as long as they don't harm you in any way. He probably looks for things that match your "aesthetic" and gifts them to you.
He genuinely believes you're insane if you don't react negatively about the whole vampire thing.
