[pm] Amazing. Anywhere you are works for me.
How's tonight around 9? Here [user attaches the address of a bar downtown.]
That's a good thing to know. I'll have to make sure to turn the floodlights at my place out until they're not around anymore. Hate that about your car, though.
I'm glad he was able to help but...did something else happen?
At least it was salvageable. Be careful of the lights inside your house too.
[...] Someone [...] bled on them. They're fine now I think, but the stains are stubborn. Peroxide wasn't much help.
She was demanding I let her dig up the remains of my dead livestock, claiming that they belonged to her. [ user realizes that there really isn't anything to stop Regan from doing that now -- AND there's more dead ] That felt a little more than strange to me.
[...] I certainly wouldn't call it normal behavior. Although I wouldn't jump to cultist if it's just her. How do the cicadas tie in?
Ah. Makes sense, I guess. Would explain that one streetlight that I saw tipped over the other day.
The city has that? I can't tell if you're doing a good job or a terrible o-- That much I can manage. Then again, I'm guessing you have your hands pretty full if you're doing public relations for Wicked's Rest. How's that going?
Well it's a strange town, you know. He was helping me on a case, tagging along. Sidekick feels like an accurate term.
I thought they were only breaking glass. If they're tipping over streetlights, they're more of a nuisance than I thought, unless it was something else.
It's going the same as it always is: enough to keep me busy. Fortunately, I like staying busy.
Case? You make animal control sound like detective work. I would have thought it's mostly tranquilizers and nets.
[pm] Anything with like, an Italian name for example! That's a good start. Like um, Luigi or Mamma mia! Or, It's a-me... Wait, do you think people in town are huge Mario Bros fans?
Ooooh, a physical therapist. I dunno about dating one, I'm like pretty locked in right now with my gal, but a PT bestie sounds amaze. So you're speaking from experience then ;) do we have a love for doctors in common?
You defo wouldn't say that if you've tried the cheese :/ But hey, I'm totally entering the next sculpture contest in hopes of a new platter. Maybe you'll be a lucky one then. I sure did! I got lots of nice friendship bracelets, and I got to enjoy a night with friends. Have I heard? Are you talking about that beak thingy. Should we be scared for realsies? :/
[pm] I haven't played. I assume those are all from the games.
Serious? You might want to refer to her differently then. You'll give people the wrong impression.
I certainly wouldn't say no to dating one. I went on a few dates with a pharmacist years ago, but that died the way so many adult relationships do. Scheduling issues.
If you find out, let me know. Don't call it a beak though. Not publicly. We're telling people it's the same geologic abnormality as the flat.
[pm] Having to do what others say. That's one thing not to like. Have you met the community? There's a canvas licker. And some woman that sells worms from her pocket, though I've never seen her make a sale.
I'm [...] not doing much of anything. Have a sugar parent person thing. They support me and I get to live happily with my cat and partner.
[pm] There's the occasional annoying directive, but most of the time I can take things in the direction I want. If you're earning money, you're always going to be subject to the person who's paying you. It's not only who has you on payroll.
We do have some odd ones here, don't we? But there are good people here too.
To each their own, but I would think that would get boring.
I suppose. I like to think that what I'm doing matters by helping bring some more literature to the world.
Yes, one of my foster father framed it and gave it to me. It's currently at my parents' home in New York.
I've left once before but it was without saying anything to anyone. I would feel awful if I left again, even if I told everyone beforehand.
I'm sure your readers appreciate it.
Life isn't about what other people think. They don't have to live your life.
Hope's pretty useless.
Not liking something isn't the same as being afraid of it. A motorcycle is more fun. And it's not going to be the thing to kill me.
That’s impressive cynicism over something as trivial as car maintenance.
Oh no? You're a little old to be talking like a reckless teenager. People die on motorcycles all the time. It's usually not notable enough to even make the news.
[pm] Do you want to get a drink?
[pm] I do. When and where?
[pm] Nope! [yup] Just like, not too big on the taste and all. There are other places that capture the true essence of pizza, you see.
Hot! Right, all those other hunters, pft... like what's the big deal? I got lucky that my bone partner is was is a doc so I get that special treatment, if you know what I mean.
Aw, that's a bummer. The committee or whatever had excellent taste. It's incredible cheese. Was. Sadly it's all gone. I took it to the bonfire, were you there?
[pm] What place in town would you say has the real 'essence of pizza'?
If you're into doctors, try dating a physical therapist. They're the real unsung heroes of healing after a fight gone wrong.
I think I can live with that loss. You went? I didn't have much reason to go. Talking to strangers around a fire doesn't catch my interest. Besides, I've been busy. Have you heard half of the things going on in town recently?
Look, lady, believe me or not. I don't really care anymore. It's your funeral.
Animal control couldn't handle this one...
You'd be surprised. They've dealt with escaped zoo animals before. And our wildlife can be unusually aggressive compared with other places. If you've been here long, I'm sure you already know that.
You have to make your own rules sometimes. Be young and sexy, you're only getting older.
Ugh, fine. Be stubborn. But if you're not gonna take my advice on workday clothes at least let me dress you for a night out sometime.
I'm not that old, but I think I'm a few years past the threshold for that one. But you don't need to be young to be sexy. Or wear questionable workplace outfits.
Why not? I'm willing to keep an open mind. Only I hope you know I'm keeping my veto power.
How do you remain engaged in something if you're not passionate about it? Yes I have! My first original story was written exclusively in green crayon.
Maybe you're right. I loved living there while I was there. Who knows, maybe I'll find a way to go back and forth.
Somethings in life are bigger than yourself. Knowing that what you do matters is better than passion. Not that passion hurts, either.
I hope your family kept it. If you do become a household name, put a signature on it, and that could be their retirement fund.
There's no shame in moving back eventually if you get tired of this town, either. I'm sure your friends would call.
[pm] An office? How drab, but much more friendly than the alternative.
Yes. Can't have another person bothering me or my loved ones. Who knows what I'd do if one of them got hurt. What made you prefer the capitalist dream anyway?
[pm] What's not to like? As a public servant, I serve the community. I have health insurance, a 401K. The older I get the more I appreciate the stability.
And you? What is it you do?
....How?
I think he is. I don't know what kind of damage the bugs have done though. It might be a lost cause if something that big got in.
They swarmed my car, and broke through the glass. From what I hear, they're attracted to light. That might have been what they were after.
The car just needed some new upholstery. It's already looking better. Although, I may be in need of another cleaning job already, unfortunately.
Guess we'll see in September. You'll probably still be driving a taped together car for a while, though. People tell you what you want to hear when you ask shit like that.
Not afraid of cars, either, no. Just like the bike better.
I wouldn't put money on it, but I can hope.
I'm sure a lot of people who aren't afraid of cars refer to them as 'cages'. A motorcycle probably is more fun, even if it is a death trap statistically speaking.
[pm] I like to think so.
You're lucky. I wouldn't do this for just anybody - but I have a good feeling about you.
[pm] I'm happy to have made such a good impression.
