🌸 write (part of) my introduction (not possible because my advisor took so long to give me feedback on my suggestions)

Coffee and matcha kinda day

30 page paper on why literature matters (lovely!), 15 page paper on multiliteracies, and 50 pages for cultural studies – the second half being an absolute dream! – That makes 95 pages read in the last 24h. Had a job interview this morning, and am currently working on flashcards for my linguistics exam; still have to the assignment for my writing class and might go book-shopping later today :)

29/30 & 30/30 april days of productivity

held my group presentation. it was the last graded project aside from my thesis. everything else just has to get done.

i think i figured out a plan for the writing process, let’s see if it’s possible and effective.

Some new French words I learned today (with German translations because it's more convenient for my flashcards):

mansuétude (f) = Milde, Nachsicht

perspicace = scharfsinnig, scharfsichtig

d'un œil perspicace = mit Scharfblick

taulard (m, fam) = Knastbruder

être féru(e) de qc = von etw. begeistert sein

vénal(e) = käuflich, bestechlich

estudiantin(e) = studentisch

bancal(e) = wackelig

23/30 - 28/30 april days of productivity

spent a few days finishing my newest puzzle.

last week was my last week at work until the end of june. i don’t have to go to work or uni for the next two months so i can write my thesis. finishing all the work i started or bringing my colleagues up to date was a bit stressful but i’m glad i don’t have to worry about it for two months.

finally submitted the title of my thesis to the office at my school. now i just have to write it…

20/30 - 22/30 april days of productivity

finished a new book! i was in a bit of a reading slump so i’m excited for myself. not completely happy with the book because i felt it didn’t meet its potential but it was a solid read (3/5 ⭐️)

I went to a coffee shop with a friend to study and it was amazing. I got a lot more done than I expected but I'm still struggling with 2nd year.

I have a test in a week so I'm going to try and ramp up my studies to at least 3-4 hours a day.

Other April productivity goals are going not awful too!

Survived week 1! Everything went pretty smoothly and I’m really happy to be back to studying & seeing my friends :) - will work on the texts for both literary and cultural studies this weekend, and I’ll hopefully also start studying for my linguistics exam (again). Other than that I started taking a new medication earlier this week, and while there are two very positive changes, I have absolutely lost my creativity and ability to think further than absolutely necessary. I really hope this goes away soon because if it doesn’t, I don’t know if I can continue taking these meds…this just isn’t my brain.

16/30 - 19/30 april days of productivity

finished the first week of my last semester. still not sure how to feel about it.

proud of myself for going to all my classes this week (especially since almost all of them were full day classes and 8 hours long).

also happy with how my pottery projects turned out (hopefully they’ll still look cute when they out of the oven).

14/30 & 15/30 april days of productivity

yesterday it was almost eight hours of talking about and revising for my thesis; today it’s almost eight hours of doing pottery. both classes are worth the same amount of credits…

I love my new setup! Can't believe I'll be writing my thesis on a PC instead of a laptop this time around! I wish I had more opportunity to study in nature, though.
