he wasnât offended, he thought a little was kind. but perhaps that was purposely done. ânot anymore.â he knew that implied that he had been lonely once upon a time, but several centuries later he didnât know any different. the only thing he was consciously aware of was to not form any type of bond. protecting number one had become more of a survival instinct. it was shaped into him. he didnât mind giving her an honest answer either, he didnât see a need to hide that fact about him. âdepends if you think thatâs what itâll be full of.â the pain and the misery, he means. perhaps sheâd be surprised by how quick ( on the scale of things ) life regrew. âthat survive destruction? sure you know that already.â he was being cryptic, more so because he knew she knew the answerâ only basing it off of what she had said to him shortly after she saved him from a few cuts and bruises.Â
âthat is what i think it will be full of.â call it a feeling, call it her ability, whatever was happening here? it was certainly not going to be a good thing. everything she felt in her bones all pointed in the horror type of direction. âsure, but it was a question i was prompting you to answer.â both brows lifted in amusement, more so because she did actually get the feeling he wasnât a big believer in psychic ability. how far could she push before he started to question it? âyou may survive in a world of fire, jax, but would you want to?â she chose the word fire on purpose.
