and people are so pissed that toriel doesn't just assume she shouldn't drink around susie or whatever. it's an intentionally uncomfortable scene and toby writes complex characters for the purpose of making it feel real. yes kris is probably upset that toriel is seeing a new man and this is most likely new for them as well but toriel is a grown woman who lives for herself not her ex husband. susie has a bad home life or maybe doesn't have one at all but susie is not her responsibility and whatever toriel does in her own home is her business.
