I’m honestly not the BIGGEST fan of this scene. Not because it’s bad or anything, but because of the way it treats T&P as characters I guess. Like this is a great (terrible!) moment for Simba, having this horrific PTSD flashback of his father dying while his tiny father figure dangles for his life. But for Timon… they almost treated it like a joke?? Or basically just treating him as a plot device for Simba rather than as his own character. Like this would have been extremely traumatic for Timon too, and I KNOW they didn’t have time for it, but I would’ve appreciated it if the whole thing hadn’t been totally brushed over.

ANYWAYS, this is not a critique of TLKoB. I absolutely adore the musical. 🫶

Soooo a headcanon of mine that’s dear to my heart and super important to me is that Simba makes a special effort to have lunch with Timon and Pumbaa at least once a week. No matter how busy he is with his royal duties, he always makes time for his dads. ❤️

According to Wikipedia, it works by hidden rubber mallets on the naturally-musical stalactites that tourguides have been knocking on for over a century. The guy who made the organ may have gotten the idea when his son whacked his head on a stalactite.
