concept: super heroes being seen as cryptids in universe

saw some people looking over the east river at manhattan with binoculars. they seemed like birdwatchers, which ive found to be nice enough, so i asked one of them what birds they had spotted. she seemed caught off guard a bit and corrected me, saying she wasnt looking for birds. she shoved her binoculars into my hands and guided me to look for a few buildings. then i saw some of the webs spiderman leaves behind. i commented to the woman ive seen those before and before i could say they aren't all that rare, she said to keep looking. then i fucking saw it. it was hard to track but these people were fucking spiderman spotting and this was their lucky day. the binoculars weren't quite powerful enough but i could see it's body moving a little bit, its fuzzy silhouette adjusting with the swings. the woman told me it was fighting shocker, she follows those spiderman spotting accounts. i didnt stick around much longer cos it kinda went behind some buildings for a while. i cant stop thinking about it though. i know this thing is real, ive seen the webs, but i have never in my life actually seen the thing swinging around

i was visiting a friend in manhattan sometime last year. we had just left their apartment and they were walking me to the subway but as i looked to my side, up at all the buildings down the street, i swear i saw spiderman. it was a blink or you miss it moment. it was probably about 5 blocks down, mid swing. the red and blue blob is still burned into my memory three years later. i just saw it in the gap of buildings and i was frozen, staring where i saw it. i remember thinking to myself "did i actually just see it? since i moved here 15 years ago, ive never see it. theres no way". its funny, my friend told me they said my name a few times and i didnt respond. they didnt see it but they teased me, congratulating me on my first spidey-spotting(they had seen it twice before)
