Q: “Alligator” is fantastic and such a great pop gem. I love that you guys jammed with puppets. It has a pop purity to it, and for some reason I associate it with Feist’s “1,2,3,4.” Can you talk a bit about this song and the video? What is going on with the igloo? Also, what is going on with those snowsuit onesies? I have really mixed emotions about those. I also have dreams about those woolly sweater things you are wearing. I want one. Did you get to keep them? A: Ha. Sara and I wrote a basic treatment and then the director got involved and turned it into something we could actually shoot in a day. The idea is that Sara and I have only each other to save one another. We’re alone in the elements. I think. Ha. The woolly things are amazing and Sara kept hers yes. When Sara sent me the demo for this song I was SO excited. It sounded like the Jackson 5. Sara got really into Motown in the last few years and really loves pop music. I think she did a great job of capturing her influences in this song.
Tegan of Tegan and Sara talks about the latest album with Vancouver is Awesome. In the interview they touch on the larry. scarves used in their 'Alligator' video.

We donated the first water neckwarmer to Pecha Kucha's Christmas Giveaway. 10 lucky audience members will win a Christmas prize at Thursday's event, and one of those items is a larry.
If you don't know about Pecha Kucha, you should:
PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public. It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

Rachel Zottenberg snapped some pictures on our shoot yesterday too. These are all just fun - I can't even imagine what our photographers will come back with when we look at their images next week. Actually, I can begin to imagine, and it's darn exciting when you've corralled up such talent.
Behind the scenes photos from the postcard shoot today, by Indigo. The beauty of having 4 photographers, aside from 4x the amount of giggles and fun, is having lots of photos in the end.
These are a few behind the scenes shots from our postcard shoot today, taken by Victoria Potter of DemiCouture, who was gracious enough to sign on to the project the very night before. She brought not one, but something like 4 cameras to shoot with - a couple of them film, which I am very excited to see once they are developed.
We had an impromptu photo shoot this morning at Lighthouse Park in West Vancouver and it was amazing! 4 photographer/artist friends documented 2 models for a photo collabo/series which will accompany a series of short poems I wrote for an upcoming show. These will be available as a post-card set - more details to come.
These images were taken by our model, Stasia Arraway, who is a creative force in her own right. She was a beautiful subject to film and photograph, and damn, she looks good in larry.
Tegan and Sara, plus all of their backup dancers, wear larry. in their 'Alligator' music video.
We are sponsoring this event on November 25th for Blue Velvet with gift bag goodies. Find more details on the Facebook event page.
AN EVENING: This November 5th fashion show was thrown by Kim Cathers of kdon designs, with featured pieces by larry. All photographs by Kris Krug.
