i so badly want louis to get that #1 so all the prejudice surrounding him as an artist can burn to hell but also i just want to say that louis did everything right with this album and the optimism bleeds through everywhere and it's so so great to see this overwhelm of support he's getting from so many different sectors. we have artists supporting him, football fans supporting him, his crew and support acts have got his back. and i think all of this just goes a long way in speaking about how much of a genuine artist louis is and he's truly loved by all and after everything that's happened it's really good to see this overpouring love and support. i don't know what will happen tomorrow, but i just want us all to remember this, this moment of coming together, this moment of genuine love, this moment of community.

#ok but can we talk about how interesting this is #it’s been talked about plenty before #but really pay attention to what he is saying #and realize that THIS is the thing he was told by their team #this is the shit that was drilled into them #to make them think they would ruin the band #by being together publicly #it’s fascinating to watch his thought process during this #especially when the interviewer was all for it #and you could tell Harry and Louis were taken aback and confused #because they had been told something so different (@bromanceshmomance)

I was literally about to post this, this is basically confirmation of their closet. I can almost hear the voice of some executive or even simon explaining it to louis which is devastating because not only did some homophobic asshole tell a then 18-20 year old this, but it was probably said in response to a “but why?”. The other awful thing is Louis was clearly told this in regards to Harry’s desirability only, not his own. Not only can you see the closet mentality but you can also see “harry the frontman” too. So not only was Louis told to view himself as a threat to female fans, a threat to the band’s image but he was told to stifle everything to serve harry’s image/fame. “Harry’s the ticket to superstardom here so you have to stay outta the picture”.
