Apparently, it's Indie Press Day! Here's a list of all my books published by indie presses, all of which publish other offbeat books you may also enjoy!
Lupus In Fabula (Cursed Morsels, 2025)-- a collection of strange and gory stories. Extremely, intensely queer, apparently. So much so that some readers complained about it!
2. The Witch Garden (dogleech, 2024)-- a novelette as chapbook, a loose modern re-telling of "The Juniper Tree" and meditation on child abuse/unhealthy family dynamics.
3. Traveler's Tales (Wrong Press, 2023)-- a chapbook comprising four short stories, all centering on the theme of travel. Less horror than some of what I write (except that one story), more gentle, poignant magical realism. One of these was later featured in an anthology of the year's best flash fiction!
4. The False Sister (Knight Errant Press, 2023)-- a dark suburban fantasy novella in which a pre-teen realizes his older sibling has been replaced with a "perfect daughter" doppelganger.
5. Corrupted Vessels (tRaum, 2023)-- the (so far) Real, Official, and Final edition of my first novella, which is also to date the piece of writing I seem to be most known for. It's about a homeless fifteen-year-old trans boy who's taken up with a nonbinary 20-something self-styled prophet, and what happens when said prophet gets romantically involved with a local college student.

[ID: When I was a kid, there was this song that played on the radio all the time. It talked about a road that was long and a brother who had to be carried on it. The singer said the brother wasn’t heavy. That he was, simply, his brother. And that line repeated again and again—He ain’t heavy. He’s my brother. And something about the way the singer’s voice hugged these words, proclaimed them to the world, caught in the back of my throat. Making it hard to move. To swallow. I didn’t know then—at nine, ten, eleven—that this was love. That this was community. That this was about a greater good. If the road is long, it doesn’t matter what you weigh—I will carry you.

Richard Siken. From: I Do Know Some Things (Copper Canyon, 2025), his first collection since a stroke made him shift to prose poems.
my understanding and interpretation of Mary Oliver’s “Wild Geese” cannot be untangled from the fact that it was originally published to follow her poem about childhood sexual abuse, “Rage”
i just don’t think it was unintentional that these were presented flush against each other
