i have voiced support for scarlet as a trans crimson name change choice and i still like it and only dont use it more for clarity's sake but recently i am also tickled by the mental image of her looking through red paint swatches and crayons and shit for ideas and only doubling down on it on principle when someone points out crimson isnt exactly an especially masculine name to begin with and her landing on using like. fuckin. #FF0000. effie for short

Before anything would actually happen between them i think if you straight up asked dani if she thinks crimson is attractive she'd glare at you and threaten you with violence (as depicted in the nccts,) without actually answering the question and then continue to behave towards her in a way I can only describe as 'cuteness aggression being unconsciously sublimated into bullying.' picking her up and casually manhandling her around unnecessarily in ways that are almost bizarrely affectionate. Hands on her constantly but in a playful and visibly disrespectful fashion such that its easy for her to say she just likes shoving her around if anyone raises an eyebrow at the tendency. Unless this is disrupting something crimson is doing this treatment is accepted so readily and without protest that people who dont know better than to question it raise an eyebrow regardless and are hunted for sport should they speak

Whereas if you asked crimson if she's attracted to Dani she'd say, like a stone wall wincing, "eugh. I mean, I guess? But thats not exactly meaningful, is it? its kind of the default opinion? Like 'oh yeah, i think wonder woman's hot', how original, so does everyone with eyes, its like wanting to fuck a superman actor, its almost embarrassing to admit its so obvious. What are you trying to get me to imply? We hate eachother, another thing anyone with eyes can see, simple as, numbnuts." And then redirect the conversation as fast as possible without seeming desperate to evade further discussion. unless you make a series of very specific dialogue choices to carefully bait her into showing her whole ass by half-agreeing, but implying or outright stating her personality to detract from that. You'll know you've succeeded if she snaps into spiteful contrarian debate mode and is calling you a stupidass for NOT thinking her personality is 'literally the hot part' and gets into a light spiel that boils down to being about how her being so strong and stubborn and arrogant yet straightforward and compassionate is the whole appeal because shes thrillingly scary and shes hard to truly impress which makes you want to impress her because it makes you feel special but she's also safe because shes so blunt that even when shes trying to its next to impossible for her to hide how she feels so you can wholly trust she's being sincere when she deigns to put aside the ego to be kind or gentle with you- and right about there she'd notice you looking at her funny and threaten to kill you dead where you stand for attempting to read into that

Still really really funny to me in retrospect that Prism got confronted by a therapist (whose future self is dating her kid) and then instead of constructively engaging with therapy Prism tried to win at therapy by giving the therapist an existential crisis

Theres a lot about how controlling prism is thats upsetting yet also entertainingly pathetic but specifically how firmly she tries to control how other people engage with her interpersonally is one of the more chilling and often subtle aspects of her characterization. Like how in CPUK white crimson attempts to barter for freedom for cpuk orange through crimsonaut as a human shield liaison so crimson doesnt have to talk to her directly, but Prism forces crimson itself to talk to her for seemingly no other reason but to remind crimson that it does not get to dictate how they interact.

Therapuppy and folk imply fascinating things about eachother. Primarily, since shes still not even actively thinking about it in any way we can see, that the main thing stopping therapuppy from transitioning is feeling like she has plenty of time and safety nets to plan and think it over as long as she needs to and spin around in cycles of doubt never actually committing to actively pursuing it even if it would make her happier because why rock the boat when shes not even doing that bad whereas Folk who was in danger and losing friends constantly jumped into it full throttle saying 'FUCK IT. I AM NOT DYING WONDERING. EVEN IF IT MEANS LETTING FUCKING DOUGIE DO MY BOTTOM SURGERY'
