âThatâs a hard one to be quite honest.â he scratched his cheek slightly. âThough⌠the legend of Orpheus has recently⌠struck a chord with me, so to speak⌠History wise, thereâs just so manyâŚâ Though he felt a sore spot now with the story of Anastasia.
âThe myth of the gifted musician who traveled to the underworld to save his wife and failed due to a mistake. That struck a chord with you?â Tragedy has to be expected in the genre, but that one is a bit too much of a downer for his own tastes. Somber even. âHah, historyâs not that easy to narrow down! Iâd have trouble too and I am historical Servant. â

Hawthorne had been carrying a stack of books, a newly found library was just what she needed to get herself adjusted to this world.Â
Strength Check: Natural 11 + 1 = 12
She carried them just fine for a while, but a stack of five in the arms of someone so small for several blocks, it was a bit wearing. But someone a very large gentleman (nevermind that most gentlemen were large to her) offered to help.
âOh thatâs so very kind of you, only if you donât mind.â
âHaha, 'course. Donât mention it.â With a smirk, he affirmed that much. The books were nothing and he could carry them just fine, but surely looked like a load for her. While doing so, the Archer started with a bit of small-talk.Â
âDidnât even know they still got hardcovers here. This cityâs not bad in what it offers, isnât it?â Electronic age and all that, he had assumed theyâd swapped them out completely by now. He also glanced at the title of the top-most book out of curiosity.Â
baddestdangerboyâ:
This guy is trying to talk him down That makes Badou pause in confusion more than acceptance, shoulders drooping a fraction.
âWhat the hell areâ are you talkinâ me down from the ledge? Youâre not the Negotiator, man. The fuck.â
âOr maybe I am concerned with keeping conflict to a minimum when I see itâs not needed or before it escalates? I am a sort of peacekeeper. Not on duty, but thatâs never mattered.â As far as he was concerned, the people around them wished for it which somewhat obligated him to step in. But thatâd be weird to bring up right now. âIâm the negotiator now and thatâre my terms. So?âÂ
OOC. TIL that tumblrâs activity-feed mess is bc of this new thing they implented.
I missed a few replies bc of that. orz Sorry about that.
Congratulations to our new employees!

____ á´ĄĘá´á´ á´ ÉŞá´ Ęá´ á´á´á´É´ ĘĘ á´Ęá´á´? That look? âHuh.â The look of a hero? Well, heâll be damned, that man got him to think. Trevor weighs the cheap prop in his hand. If it were metal, itâd certainly be good for bashing enemies with it. He raises it up on his shoulder with a change of attitude and a smug smile
âOf course, I do. Iâm a Belmont! Iâm a goddamn hero.â
âOh lĂĄlĂĄ. Now thatâs it, Monsieur Belmont! Like that!â Perhaps he was a party poop, but there was no doubting this smirk about the dreams of heroism this man had. When he said he was a hero, the artillery man gave a thumbs-up.Â
âHalloween isnât so bad. Thereâs sexy costumes, thereâs candy, thereâs this. Youâll see a lot of smiling faces around this time.â
excommunedâ:
_____ ĘĘá´Ę!? THE CALL OF A VAMPIRE? Trevor raises his fists but its too late! Something more powerful than vampires has him! The French, powered by their ridiculousness! He canât punch them or escape!
Uggggggggh. Squished. â Especially, not that! You look terrible and I canât understand you through those teeth. Why a werewolf of all thingsâŚâ He pinches his nose.
Two pats on his back, then sweet release. âNot feeling werewolves either? Perhaps horrorâs not your thing after all?â Archer exaggerated a thoughtful face, making a few steps around the aisle of the costumes shop. Then he picked out a certain key-shaped toy-blade and held it out to this fellow.
âHow about this? Key knight, opener of hearts! The women would love it. You got that look, you know.â
excommunedâ:
_____âCostumes? Why on earth would you want to look like a fucking vampire? Or Dracula, no less?â take those fake teeth out of your mouth before he does it for you.
âBLEH!!â Guess whoâs getting jumped from behind in a one-armed hug no one ever asked for! Yeah, nobody expected THE FRENCH. Armed with plastic teeth and cloak!Â
âTrès simple, mon ami! For fun! Not a vampire guy? How about werewolf?â
âA movie about a dog? If dogs could talk, I wonder what theyâd say to me...â
neversundayâ:
   || â âŚÂ â Hands snaked up for the hair over her shoulder. She combed fingers through amber strands, thinking. If the Lostbelt was taken care of, then how come the details were fuzzy at the end? She remembered his roll and the fight but beyond that⌠Nurturing the Tree had been a failure to Wodimeâs cause, but for the next step of pan-human historyâ was this it? Or something else? Something she had to do here on her own? She didnât know, couldnât see, but not that Archer would allow her to wallow in doubt with a grin like that. Glancing back up at Archer she tried to smile for him, but it was lackluster in comparison. Still, there was something else that shined in her words. â The only relationship we maintain is that of a Servant and Master, Archer,â she reminded.â I find the twist to be a Servant waited for a Master to be summoned this timeâŚâ
âWe could be more?â But he suggests that a tad half-hearted, like itâs for upholding their dynamic only. The attempted smile is something already, so the artillery man does an exaggerated gesture with his wrist to welcome her to enter her new home. Itâs not the Lostbelt, but waiting outside sheâs still gonna get cold. Hands on his hips next, he announces his work.
âI broke into your house-â Yeah, he says that in a mix of awkward undertow, but at the same time, like heâs boasting of a victory of sorts. âAnd put some pizza in the oven. Should be done by now! ...I didnât have more time and ingredients to serve up something romantic, but next time!â Itâs a small promise of sorts. Could he even cook?
lostgentlesoulâ:
The archer in front of him answered his questions with ease, as if they were nothing. âKadoc Zemlupus. A previous master and one who enjoys mythologies and history.â He answered. âSo⌠I suppose fan would be a good way to describe it.âÂ
He clicks his tongue. Kadoc Zemlupus, one of the Crypters. He heard this and that at Chaldea about the other Lostbelts whenever the topic came up. But that was there and here is now, so his enthusiasm takes no dent. Rather, his smile grows wider. âTrès intèressant, Kadoc. If youâre big into history and myths, whatâs your favorite?â
neversundayâ:
   || No, she wasnât. â Hmm? Come again, Archer? Iâm afraid I canât hear you with this giant manatee plush between us.â She had been lost in its cute black plastic eyes and had to hold it with both arms.
âYour swimsuit! You look A - O  K !â Was the emphasis needed? No, but it didnât stop him from that, nor from giving it a chiefâs kiss.Â
âAlors---â Alors nothing, he gets hit by karma taking the form of a volleyball straight for his head, knocking him comedically off his feet.Â
âAa, foul play! Foul play! Câmon sexy, lets get back at them for that!â
ăăăŹăŞăł
baddestdangerboyâ:
Already spitting venom, Badou adds some mercury to that, too, when he swivels and locks eyes with this guy.
âAnd thereâs no need to BUTT IN when your nose is that big, is there? Mind your own business.â
Oof, that wouldnât be easy. âThere is, right here. Before youâll start breaking things and we all lose something, we can try to negotiate your problem. Youâre pissed, but what do you get out of acting it out when you could show people something beautiful instead?â
lostgentlesoulâ:
âWhat class are you? Name? Where are you from?â Kadoc couldnât help trying to learn about the servants heâd met, but normally heâd kept it under wraps. Right now, however, he couldnât. Heâd bottled up too much of the excitement.Â
âArcher! Napoleon Bonaparte! From-â
âOh, that one is stacked. Corsica, France, my palace, the Throne of Heroes? Take your pick. But you know what I mean and who I am!â Chest held high, he takes the barrage of question with some kind of pride. The quick succession was almost like one of these celebrity interviews on TV. Actually, not a bad feeling!
âAnd youâre, who? A fan?â
