My close friend and life group leader Betsabe always says this quote, but this week it really sunk in... "God can't resurrect something that isn't dead!" So quick backstory, God has me reading the book of Acts. In this chapter 🔥 we see the apostles, namely Paul, paint such a vivid example of selfLESS SERVANThood 👀. This coupled with recent sermons, worship songs and Betsabe's quote 🙌🏾, it further confirmed one of many things, it's NOT about me 🤦🏾♀️. As much as prayer can be about God moving at home, at work, at any given moment in our surroundings... how often do we welcome God into our heart and ask Him what it is that He wants for us? 🤥 Welp, (transparency moment) 🙋🏾, I had to check myself on that because it's been a hawt minute! After that self check, I let go of EVERYthing I've held on to, prayed for or asked for and literally "died to self" and asked God.. what is it that He'd like for me to do, say, be, feel, move, stay, go... in other words, whatever it is God wants for me do, it will be done wholeheartedly for Him and not myself or anyone else.. (Col 3:23) It is out of this place of surrender, such thankfulness, peace and joy came over me. I hogged up all of this cyber space to ultimately say, if you feel stuck, don't know what your next move will be or if you haven't heard from God in a while/ever... take a moment, away from your busy life, away from social media and sit in a quiet place by yourself. As you sit, begin to open up your hands. As you let go of those things you've held onto for so long, begin to open up your heart.. The feeling of peace that will follow after you let go and Let God take over, is so much more rewarding than monetary any accomplishment you could ever obtain in life.. #LetGoLetGod #HearingGod #Selfless
