Hello everyone!
It’s that time of year again. Our second installation of what I am hoping to make a yearly community project: The Alt-ZaDr calendar.
Learning from last year adjustments have been made to make the canvasses larger and to prepare the elements that will allow people to print high res PNG versions of the calendar at its completion, as well as utilizing spreadsheets for organization.
The calendar will be released in a pdf download format when complete.
The size will be formatted to conform to the dimensions of standard printer paper (8.5 in x 11 in. ) for highest level of accessibility to printing.
Anyone over the age of 18 can apply to participate.
Each month requires two illustrations: A main calendar spread (header) and a frame for the days of that month (footer).
Additionally, we have slots for people to make “stickers”. Think of the stickers like little emojis that we can place on certain days of the year. If all you want to do is make stickers, that is a-ok. You don’t need to go the whole nine yards.
A brief forward giving thanks to the community will be on the first page, along with a collage of artist signatures
Index of credits for art will be listed on the back page of the calendar, listed by month (Header, Footer, Sticker)
The soft deadline for this project is December 15th 2025. The hard deadline is December 20th. I will be checking in with participants at least once a month to see what progress you have made, and to find out if you need any help completing your art.
If you have any interest in participating in this project I implore you to join us! Let’s make this year just as good as the last, if not better.
Calendar registration will remain open until the end of September (September 30th).
Project choices are first come first serve, so be prepared to choose more than one option so we can be certain you end up with a project you can really sink your teeth into.

The themes are suggestions for artistic inspiration. Your illustration can take inspiration from one prompt suggestion or all of them.
You can sign up to do multiple projects, headers/footers/stickers.
You can choose to collaborate with other artists to complete your submission. If you plan to collaborate with another artist, both of you should be credited, so please pass their name/handle on to me so that I can give them that credit.
Headers/Footers artistic inspiration must include the keywords of your given month
Header/Footer designers must create something involving ZADR
Sicker designers can create anything Invader Zim or ZADR related
It is preferred that you depict Zim and Dib as Adult versions of the original characters.
However, underage iterations of Zim and Dib are allowed if the artwork meets the criteria of Disney shipping (cheek kisses, holding hands, exchanging gifts, hugging, Not Being Sexual)
No depictions of Racism, Sexism, Pedophilia, Homophobia, Transphobia; or anything else I think is deplorable will be admitted. Be respectful.
Sexual themes are welcome, so long as they are done artfully (AKA. Softcore, pin ups, Not outright fucking. )
Gore is OK.

Day 2: Species Swap
This event is inspired by the vintage culture of Invader Zim (1990s/2000s) and largely relates to fashion and media trends of that time.
This year pays homage to that via the magic of alternate universes and the creativity of the fandom when exploring them.
