A brief thought and invitation for discussion on Shuri in Avengers 4:

Avengers: Infinity War (spoilers) and rumours about Avengers 4 below!

So I’ve heard (in a YouTube video, I can find the link if anyone wants it) that Avengers 4 is going to take place 5 YEARS after IW.

Now, leaving aside the devasting thought of how everyone will deal with loosing their loved one/s for five fucking years

Does this mean that Shuri will be, not only the QUEEN of Wakanda, but also it’s defender? She’s taken on the mantle of Black Panther in the comics in the past (I believe). But since the purple flowers that gave T’Challa his super strength/speed/agility were destroyed by Killmonger, do we think that she’ll rely on tech?

I just want to talk to someone about this bc I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet and honestly the thought of Shuri being BP and Queen makes me excited

Not to sure about the 5 years since the main rumor is that there is going to be a lot of time travel going on in the new film. I know guardians of the galaxy 3 will take place 5 years after the events of the 4th avengers movie. But Spider-Man homecoming 2 will take place literally 5 minuets after the 4th avengers film. Now shuri did become the queen and black Panther in the comics . And technically she’s next in line after her brother so right now she’s is Queen of Wakanda. More than likely she’s rely on her tech for strength and speed or she find a way to replicate the flower with biochemistry.
