HELP!!!

Hello together!

Man... am I busy. I’m working on my Master’s degree and my semester just started. Now here’s what I need your help for. 

I take an Irish Culture Studies class this semester and we are supposed to create a project for an exhibition. 

Is there anybody from Ireland or Nothern Ireland on here? :D If so then I would like to create an online survey for you and/ or anybody you might know who would be interested.

I would really appreciate it :) Thank you for your help/ ideas and so on in advance.

It’s carnival time in Germany and because it’s still rather chilly outside I chose to dress up as something that wears a coat ^w^ 

It’s a little improved version of my Female!Remus cosplay and it’s also a partner cosplay because my wig has the same color as my dog so he’s my little werewolf form ;) I had to tone it down with the scars a bit because I also wore it to work and I didn’t want to scare the parents.

Also, first time I’ve used a contouring kit so I was a bit too careful and you barely see anything TT^TT 

For the scars I used eyeliner pencils of different colors and Collodion.

The day has come...

With the biggest amount of sadness I come back to this blog to see that 2,364 insane and wonderful and beautiful people are still here to back me up :) You can’t believe how happy this makes me and especially the wonderful messages that still keep coming in my inbox. You are all just wonderful and if I could I would definitely hug you all <3 

So… what has happened? You all deserve an explanation I guess. I graduated university and got my Bachelor Degree in Anglistik studies, Biology and Educational Science and am now a post-grad student working for my Master’s. I’ve been very busy and also I’ve been abroad for several months. 

I’m 25 now and Nyo!Germany, Monika, has been “by my side” for almost 4 years now. I still love her as a character and I won’t give up the cosplay for good but I’m afraid I just can’t manage to keep this blog updated with my everyday schedule. I won’t delete anything and I won’t delete the blof because I met many wonderful people on her and it makes me happy that you guys still enjoy my old posts. Also I really enjoyed helping everybody who dropped by and asked for help or advise. 

Instead I will turn this blog into a more general cosplay blog where I will post pictures and keep you updated on new stupid fandom or cosplay ideas/ projects. Of course I’m sure Monika will return from time to time but it’s just not something I can do regularly anymore. 

I know many of you will leave this blog now and I can understand. I just want you all to know how grateful I am for the awesome time and I wish you all the best on your way. Stay safe, healthy and happy.

God, I hate it when people use that argument. You do realize Hitler wasn’t born as a dictator who killed millions of Jews and disabled people, right? People didn’t vote for him because he had already killed Jews. People voted for him because he used to be just the same kind of dickhead Trump is now. Somehow his rhetoric appealed to people because it made them feel like things would get better for them and he conveniently blamed it all on Jews. He didn’t go “LET’S KILL ALL JEWS”, nope. He just identified Jews as the source of the problem for everyone else. 

Now tell me Trump isn’t doing that with Mexicans and Muslims? Tell me he isn’t. How can you be so blind not to see that someone like Trump can turn into what Hitler was in the end? Hitler was a person who made his way to power by convincing people of his fucked up worldview. Stop trying to make Hitler this symbol of evil you can’t compare anyone to. Look at his development. Look at it and tell me you can’t see parallels between him and Trump. 

We’re not saying Trump is going to commit a genocide the minute he gets into office. But a) Hitler didn’t do that either and b) with that much support in society he is dangerous enough. His brilliant idea to register Muslims so you can recognize them easily and avoid them is already one of those things …. The danger is there. Do you wanna risk it?

I have decided to distract myself from university woes to bring you this, though this itself is technically inspired by aforementioned woes due to my “SoSe” having started this week.

To explain this a little and to throw in my own two cents: SoSe is not used as the abbreviation everywhere. Some parts of Germany apparently do use SS, and I don’t actually see anything wrong with that, given it has no connection to Nazis in this context. I remember seeing a debate in the FO4 fandom about how Sole Survivor should not be shortened to SS due to the association with Waffen SS and Germans being offended by it, which confused me, because while I made that unfortunate association myself whenever I stumbled upon the abbreviation, I think it’s time we start moving past that a little. An abbreviation is very different from actual Nazi rhetoric, I’d say. I cannot speak for Jewish individuals here but to non-Jewish Germans: chill a little and condemn actual Nazi rhetoric instead.
