can freaks on this site stop telling kids they have to hate themselves to be trans
This can lead you down so many rabbit holes, please, understand that you do not have to hate yourself and being trans is not a bad thing
suffering is not a prerequisite for trans existence don’t let people trick you into thinking transness equates pain and self-hatred
This video is guaranteed to make you laugh 😅

Ok but real talk here, big, important question for everyone:
Why do you like but not reblog?
It feels like the bare minimum in fandom to reblog stuff you like. It’s the easiest way to support artists/writers and guarantee they do more of that same kind of thing.
I thought of some reasons people might not want to reblog and I’m going to debunk them:
Reblog = repost and reposts are evil!!!
Reblogs are different than reposts. As long as the original post came from the artist, the artist gets the credit for it and that’s what they want. REPOSTS are when you find a piece of art you like, save it to your computer, and later make your own post with it, and that’s not cool
Reblogging is too much effort!!
It really, really isn’t. On mobile? Press and hold the reblog button. The post has now been reblogged. On desktop? Hold the alt key and then click the reblog button. Off it goes, letting more people enjoy the beauty of the post you just enjoyed yourself!
I don’t want to tag things though
So then…don’t? Just reblog it with no tags. You want to tag it later, you can. You never want to tag things? Cool, neither do I most times!
I DO want to tag things but I feel like I’m bothering people
I guarantee you, 90% of the time, artists love tags. Even the keyboard smash tags. The ones they don’t love are the ones demanding more art/for the artist to do things in a specific way/to change the art to suit one specific viewer’s preferences.
If I reblog things a lot, it’ll annoy people!
If people are following you, it’s for your content. If it annoys them, they can unfollow you. That’s on them. If you mean it’ll annoy the ARTIST if you go in and reblog their whole art tag…wrong, false, no, definitely not, they might even make more art specifically for you if you do that. Especially if you tag with ‘I love this piece because…’ and then give a reason why you love it, that is the most encouraging thing.
Reblogging doesn’t fit my blog aesthetic.
Idk what to tell you here, you’re in control of your aesthetic. Make a side blog maybe, reblog there and leave your main ‘clean’. Or vice versa. No reblogs = a quickly dwindling supply of art that people are willing to post.
Reblogging is an important part of fandom/tumblr community in general. It encourages more people to make more content which means more things for you to do/see/read.
It’s part of the fandom ecosystem; we have content makers and we have content viewers. Without makers, we have no art. Without viewers, there’s no reason to post it online. If viewers are limited, people start reconsidering whether to bother posting their art online or just share it with their friends they know will give feedback.
Reblogs are how you contribute to the fandom. Try it.
NO I MEAN REBLOG THIS TOO
Literally, it’s very important to share things. If you see someone going through and liking everything but not sharing it (which happens to me a lot) it genuinely gets you wondering what’s wrong with your work that they don’t wanna share it publically. It makes you feel like an art-robot.
Feels like I see less and less art now partly because of people moving off the site, but also people rarely reblog art and comics anymore and it’s just sort of memes and discussions now. Also the lack of feedback just discourages artists and then you get less and less art in general. I like this platform better than other social media, but it sucks it’s become this way.
This goes for writing just as much. I pass on every piece of fanfic for my fandom that I see cross my dash, but it’s a precious few, and it doesn’t often go far when I do. I already find myself not bothering to post here anymore if it’s writing because it’ll get some likes and a reblog, maybe two, and then it dies. And I KNOW people like my writing, because it does get a lot of feedback on other sites, and I KNOW there’s a lot of people who look at it here but don’t pass it on. I used to do askbox fic for previous fandoms but I stopped because there’s no good way to share that on AO3 to get feedback (not without clogging up my AO3) and it certainly doesn’t go anywhere here. And for once this isn’t a spite thing for me, I’m not trying to be mean or anything, it’s just that I’m a real person, and that means I have a limited amount of time to do stuff in after work so if it’s going to take up that time but give nothing back, I just won’t do it. I can use that spoon to do something else, or use that time to recharge in other ways. So… yeah. Even super motivated people like me stop creating or at least sharing if it’s not worth the effort- and currently it’s just. Not.
He had it coming.
i swear to god if you dont delete this assp i will drag and drop your a$$ to the recycling bin of life … the atlantic ocean so deep down in matianas trench
Some trans guy tips from your dad
Don’t try that mascara/arm hair shit. I’ve been passing for more than a year with short, blond arm hair. It’s not an important secondary sex characteristic.
Board shorts (without pockets in the front) do wonders to minimize the width of your hips. Always choose board shorts over swim trunks. Choose them over cargo shorts if it’s appropriate.
Speak from your chest, never from your head.
The goal of binding should not be an entirely flat chest; you should bind for your body type.
GC2b makes the best binders out there, and their products are designed specifically for trans men/transmasculine people.
It might seem useless if you’re pre-T, but working out can be a big help for dysphoria.
Eyebrows are really important to passing pre-testosterone. Muss that shit up. Make them look unkempt.
When you ask for a haircut, make sure the edges in the back are squared, not rounded.
If you have peach fuzz, I would advise shaving it. Cis guys shed theirs when they go through puberty. Shaving can also help with facial hair dysphoria.
Don’t ever buy a binder from Amazon. They run in strange sizes (I was an XXL even though I’m a M in GC2b) and take weeks/months to come. It’s also difficult to breathe in them after a few hours.
@shyguyshiloh @kuchenkat
Spread the word, especially for the board shorts thing!!!!!! They do WONDERS for making hips appear slimmer!!!!!
@cloudstreamer
for my masculine children :-*
Adding a couple things.
-Patience is a virtue you need to come to terms with. Even on T, things take time. My voice dropped immediately, but my cycle continued for 6 months. We’re all different.
-In the summer, HYDRATE YOURSELF. A binder is an extra layer, and mine have always been very warm.
-When its not too hot, layers are your friend. You’d be surprised what even simply an undershirt can do to smooth out your look.
-You are going to get misgendered. This is a fact, and it sucks. Learn to politely correct people. Remember you might be the first (openly) trans person they meet, so be a good ambassador.
-When you start T, your smell will change. You will sweat like you’ve never sweat before, and it WILL STINK. Adjust your bathing habits accordingly.
*coughs in direction of my trans friendos*
If you have a really large chest you might do better with Underworks binders. They aren’t pretty, they’re not soft, but they do a good job and were the first on the market for a very long time. I couldn’t stand gc2b so if you’re like me, try Underworks.
Don’t double bind.
DON’T USE DUCK TAPE. I still have scars from a dumb decision I made as a teen and I’m 31 now.
When the time comes for top surgery, shop around. Find someone who will tailor your chest to your needs. Look at their portfolio. Compare surgeons. See if you can find someone who will work with your health insurance if you have it.
Be safe. Be healthy. Take your time. It’s not a race or a competition.
*incoherent screaming* MY TRANS MEN/ TRANS MASCULINE FOLLOWERS, L O O K👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
I know a lot of my friends are Trans men so look!!
@romeo-appreciation-squad @sxft-bxy-mlm @existential-pasta @undervaluedagent hey guys look
If you don’t mind, I’d also add
Resting the bottom of your shirt on the waist of your pants- similar to French tucking- makes your torso look more boxy and helps reduce the appearance of your chest. It works best with sweatpants
Stand with your legs a little further apart than you’re used to. It makes your hips look more proportionate to the rest of your body.
Standing straight up (mostly when binding or using other methods of visually reducing your chest) makes you look more masculine.
If you don’t have a packer, use a bunched up pair of socks.
Pushing your jaw forward gives you more of a visible jawline. Just don’t go too far, other wise it looks a little odd.
Basketball jerseys help visually minimize your chest. Just throw on a jacket/flannel to hide bras/binders from the sides.
These are all I can think of at the moment, but they really helped me
Oh, hey, nonbinary AFAB here! Would like to add that if you live in a country where medical prescriptions are cheap and you don’t have to jump through millions of hoops to get one, going on the Pill if you can’t get a testosterone prescription works wonders for period-related dysphoria (and it’s probably easier most places to get that prescription if you inquire about it because of ‘painful periods’). Also, I knew a trans guy who when he was pre-T learned contour in order to sharpen his jawline and honestly when he perfected it I genuinely didn’t recognise him for three solid minutes until I noticed his backpack.

Alright, I need to have a chat with the teenagers that follow me, specifically regarding lying about your age and nsfw content. This isn’t directed at anyone, but I think it’s a convo that needs to be had in general.
I was a teenager once. I get it. Everyone lies about their age online. Maybe not to other people, but I’m sure every minor has clicked a ‘yeah, sure, I’m 18+” button at some point in their lives. I’m not here to shame you for that.
What I am here to say is it is vital that teenagers understand the difference between engaging in sexual content independently (ie, entering a fake birthday to access 18+ content), and lying about your age to engage in sexual activities with others online (joining discord servers/using nsfw channels intended for adults only/lying about your age to talk to nsfw content creators/commissioning nsfw art/etc).
Lying about your age to a website so you can look at porn is one thing. It’s an entirely independent experience, where the only consent that really matters is yours. Nobody has any power over you in this situation, and there’s about no chance of legal consequences.
However, lying about your age to other human beings is extremely different. If you’re engaging in nsfw roleplay with a friend about the same age as you, talking about sex with other teenagers, sharing nsfw fics among friends, that’s one thing. But do not lie about your age to engage in sexual activities/discussions. Not only is something that could have actual legal ramifications, and very serious ones depending on what’ going on, but it’s a violation of the other people’s consent. The moment other real people are involved, you need to be respectful of their boundaries & what is and isn’t appropriate for you to be engaging with. If they say no minors, I don’t care if you’re 17.5, you stay out until you are 18 years old.
Examples of situations where it is never okay to lie or mislead anyone about your age online include:
Joining/accessing nsfw channels or servers on discord.
Yes, I know it’s very easy to just click that little red button on discord that lets you access the channel you’re so curious about. It looks just like the one you see on adult websites that you click without thinking.
Don’t do it.
If channels are 18+ then you stay out of them. There are other real life human beings involved who did not give consent to have a minor in an adult orientated space.
Engaging with nsfw creators/content directly
ie, commissioning nsfw artwork, following or talking to nsfw creators who’ve asked for no interactions from minors/flagged their accounts as 18+ only, subscribing to nsfw creators on patron, nsfw roleplay, etc.
Joining/engaging with adult only communities, like Fetlife or cam sites.
Engaging in romantic and/or sexual online relationships
Any time you are talking with one or more other real human beings, particularly any adults, in a sexual context.
I know that adult websites have basically trained teenagers to just say they’re 18 and move on, but it is vital that teenagers understand that it is never okay to lie about your age when directly engaging in any kind of sexual activity. Knowing people’s age is a vital part of consent, and if an adult is found to have been engaging in sexual activity with a minor, they could face life long legal consequences. Not only that, but a basic facet of consent is clear, honest communication. If you are lying to a partner, then you do not have consent. Lying about your age is a huge violation of consent.
That’s not to say you can never mention sex around adults online. There are times and places where you may be asking for advice, or even just making jokes about sex or whatever. That’s all well and good, so long as everyone is on the same page. It’s on adults to make sure that we are behaving appropriately around minors online, and make sure that we’re setting boundaries in those relationships. But it’s on minors to communicate that they are minors, and respect those boundaries that are set.
So, tl;dr,
Lying about your age to access a porn site is fine. Lying about your age to engage in sexual situations/adult-only spaces where other real human beings are involved is not.
Pls the tl;dr
The Joker be like: heeheehahahahahahaha!!! I creampied you, batman!!!
