I would like to be a fly on the wall for the convo between Amity and the twins where Amity explained that their "prank" almost got her and Luz sewn (sp?) into a book. That definitely seems to have been a turning point in their relationship since the next time we see the twins they are acting overprotective of Amity.
You had good timing anon, I was having a really shitty day and needed an emotional outlet when you send this ask a few weeks back, so I wrote a little something. The idea for this has actually been floating around my head since way back in season one, but I never got around to it. Finished this in like three days, and then a friend of mine made this really awesome cover art for it!
Summary: Things hadnât always been like this. They had actually been pretty close once, back when theyâd been little. Faded memories of offering a baby her favorite toy and excitedly chatting with Amity before she was even capable of answering, of pillow forts and sleepovers in each otherâs rooms, of late-night reading sessions when their parents believed them to be asleep, snuck back to the front of Emiraâs mind. Now, all that remained was the game their parents played. Their bond, carefully severed through years of intentional misconceptions, had been turned into just another puppet string.
Amity comes home after Lost in Language, and her siblings are forced to confront the feelings they hurt. But they might not be the only ones.
OR: The Blight children finally figure out what their parentsâ game is, and decide theyâre done playing it.
