omg hi it’s been so long! I moved to the US and I’m kinda nervous to start lifting here tbh
does anybody else have like a straight up alter ego for when they go lifting? i know a lot of people like to keep a low profile but i love talking to people way too much so when i connect with an sa that’s equally as chatty i have like this whole life that i share pieces of when they come up because like i said i love talking and i especially love sharing tidbits of my life/hearing about other peoples’ lives but i’m not gonna talk about my own life because shoplifting. it’s not even like it’s some perfect life it’s just different
i feel like roger from american dad lol
I do this too. I dress in a way I honestly hate, so it’s easy to pull off the “sorority girl omg I love this vineyard vines phone case” bullshit. Makes for some fun times.
i need to make $400 by oct 5th, any ideas?
no offense to newbies but is it rly that hard to use google or literally browse any lifting blog for 5+ minutes. do u really need to ask fifty different lifters if barcodes set off alarms etc. like i dont understand

earlier today, I went to a semi-new outlet mall in my area. I could have gotten waaay more, but I was on a time limit, and I’m still quite pissed about not snatching that FUCKING AMAZING kate spade bag. it was opening day today for that store, so it was hella busy, and it’s so fucking easy to conceal because in MY AREA, they do not count items and they just don’t pester you, etc. anyway, some items aren’t pictures because I’m an absolute idiot and forgot to snap pictures of a small amount that was included in this haul.

aaaah that eco bag walkout with a starbucks pit stop, what a gift.
got mushrooms, ground beef, peanut butter (to replace the jar of my sister’s that I ate all of), more fancy cheese (i’m addicted to kerrygold cheese now oops) and some magnesium citrate. should/could have got more but I felt kind of sketch, idk. they didn’t have rice vinegar though???? i was going to grill my world famous yakitori chicken and if it wasn’t so ballbustingly hot out there, I’d go to the other grocery store and grab some but oh my god a five minute walk had me sweating like a piglet.
shit i love free groceries though
whaaaat 100 followers for this lame ass blog, you’re all crazy and I love you 😍😍😘

Rihanna does it too :-D
Canadian Tips #1 - Sears
So I’ve noticed a large number of the tip posts floating around are geared at American stores. That’s fine and all, but policies and (most importantly) laws will vary between countries. I haven’t been lifting long, but I’ll contribute what I can!
I used to work for Sears. This is what I picked up while there. NOTE - this is about my own store, and I can’t guarantee it is true for any others, though it likely is.
1) Tags Sears uses two types of tags; Spider Wraps and Super Tags. There’s a catch, however, that works in your favor - Sears doesn’t use towers. No tags will beep on the way out. (AGAIN, I cannot guarantee this for any other store.) Spider Wraps are used on the exactly things you would expect - KitchenAid mixers and the like. The Super Tags are usually only used on coats and swimwear, as well as expensive dresses, but be sure to check anyway.
2) Cameras Monitored dome camera system is in effect. The feeds flash two to a screen, however. There are cameras monitoring the dressing room hall’s doorway but not inside. They also tend to be over cash registers. There will be more cameras than dressing room and cash around the store, though.
3) Dressing Rooms Dressing rooms are unlocked and unattended. There is a doorbell sound that goes off when you enter, simply to let associates know someone is in there. Mind you, a mini staff room is usually at one end of the hallway in the dressing room hall, but rarely does anyone use it. No one will count your items! Also, it’s likely that if someone is putting back merchandise from the fitting room’s rack, they’re a merchandiser and not an SA (therefore even less trained in LP). SA’s or merchandisers will clean out the dressing rooms after you’ve been in there so either leave a mess and get out fast or clean it all up and put any tags in clothing pockets that will go back on the rack.
4) Loss Prevention Very good. Walk out method WILL NOT work. There is always an LP person on duty and they watch the cameras whenever they’re not walking the floor. They are plainclothes in every store I’m aware of. Sears does have a little room that looks like a holding cell for shoplifters. Police will definitely be called if you’re caught, so be careful. LP will call SAs when they see suspicious behavior and vice versa, so listen to the phone calls.
5) Policies Sears does chase, take license plates, and contact police. There is a board in the staff room with pictures of known lifters from the store and major lifters from the overall chain. Sears rewards SAs with gift cards for assisting in taking down shoplifters. There is a monthly item they’ll try to cut down on theft of and any employee who alerts LP of what they think is an attempted lift will get a $50 gift card if it leads to something. Regularly, SAs get rewards of $10-$25 gift cards for taking down theft. An SA cannot ask to see inside your bag, accuse you, ask you to put something back, etc. Only LP can do that.
I hope I can help, safe lifting! ^_^
Birthday Haul ~
Sorry this is so late, I know I promised it days ago!
Claire’s: earrings for my boo $14.25 x2 La Vie En Rose: bra $49.95, underwear $19.95, shorts $16.95 Bath & Body Works: wild Madagascar vanilla lotion $12.50, fragrance $14, vanillamint lip supreme $8 Body Shop: Arber eau de toilette $28, drops of youth $38, divine calm massage oil $16 American Eagle: shirt $19.95, leggings $24.95 Lush: Coalface soap, $18.83
Total: $295.58
Lush though omg. I swore if they had gorgeous I would move mountains to get it, but I was there the last ten minutes to close and the only customer in the store with all three SAs around cleaning up, I was so freaking mad but I just couldn’t.. Grabbed Coalface and then freaked out because I’d forgotten I had my purse zipped shut and there was no way I could unzip it without drawing major attention so I just kind of held it with my body between me and the SAs and walked out. It was so bad but they didn’t even look at me lmfao. Still holding out hope for Gorgeous, it really is the holy grail.
ALSO if you have an AEO near you go get one of these shirts right now! They are seriously soooo soft and comfortable, and insanely flattering. You need to get you some.
$512 💕
Topshop, Daiso, Indigo, The Body Shop, Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, Murale, Garage
omg how was Murale?
I’m on the fence about Murale. It has a bright, open layout (think polar opposite of Sephora) about about 1000 cameras. I saw a dude come out of the back room and caught a glimpse of the monitors that I assume he was watching. So yes, LP. Although he was a really sweet older man helping people find lipgloss. But on the other hand… Only 3 or so SAs in the whole store!! And we weren’t approached by them even once. I don’t know if I prefer it over Sephora just yet.
My very first haul! I hit the Dollar Tree (first store ever), A drugstore, and a grocery store that will not be named.
E.L.F. Mascara- $1

CANADIAN LIFTERS LISTEN UP
HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK I just found a store in Canada that is comparable to Ulta (well it sounds like it), I can’t believe I forgot about it!! They don’t have things like drugstore makeup, but the POINT is it’s another alternative for Sephora! (these are the brands they carry) It’s run by Shoppers and it’s always SO understaffed for the size of store it is the couple times I’ve been in there. JFC there’s one so close to where I’m going to be living when I go to uni.
ANYWAYS it’s called ‘Murale’
There’s one kind of near me where I am right now, but idk if I’ll have time to scope it out before I leave for uni.
AAAHHHH this is the best news! @ canadian lifters go forth and lift your hearts out! (find blindspots first tho)
Never heard of it… But will look! Did they just open?
How to Master the Walk Out Method
• I have two big reusable bags from Babies R Us that I got from people at my baby shower. Later when I went to their store, I saw that they run from around 1-3 $ depending on what size you want. (not that you can’t just fold it up and put it in your purse)
Other stores that sell reusable eco-friendly bags: Toys R Us, Tj Maxx, Kohls, Jc Penney, Gordmans, Old Navy, Hyvee, Whole Foods, Kroeger, Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS.
1. Why is it different to use eco bags? I find it a lot more unsettling concealing items into my purse than my ebags. When you are putting items into an ebag I’ve noticed that other shoppers around you don’t even look at you twice. Shoppers just think you’re being economically friendly. You won’t have to be nervous or have shaky sweaty palms as you desperately look for an empty isle with a handful of nail polish and foundation. Without having to find a new spot to conceal every time you just fill up your bags calmly and collectively while others still shop around paying little to no attention to you at all. This is especially good to do when you need groceries, or need a huge haul you’ve been planning. If you still feel a little unsettled, then wait until you get to your blind spot to start bagging your groceries into ebags.
2. Don’t forget: • You still need to check for tags! Unless you 100 % know your store of choices policies and have scoped out the store prior to your lifting day, then only sometimes it may be okay to beep. • Regarding the possibility of beeping, you should always try to walk out of the store next to another family/grocery shopper. • Always pay special attention to suspicious footsteps, voices, beeps over the intercom, announcements over the intercom, and walkie talkie calls. You’re still shoplifting! • A new method is no excuse for becoming sloppy, lazy or greedy. Take only what you’re sure you need! • Do your research on source tags if you know for sure something expensive you’re planning on getting away with. A friend of mine didn’t know that the $ 60 crest white strips were source tagged. • Always assume you’re being watched. Be calm, cool and collective and if you can’t fill your bags without being super nervous and distraught, you probably shouldn’t do it. The key is to be nonchalant and calm. Think about when you go grocery shopping with your parents. Do you pay attention to other grocery shoppers? Probably not. They aren’t paying attention to you. They are making sure they get their spring rolls and potstickers. • If you need too, look for cameras, people, SAs, and LP with your eyes only . • Always be considerate, friendly, polite and courteous. Employees, security, SAs and will always remember a bitchy customer over a polite customer. This comes with your next topic:
3. Dressing for the Job: Notice what the average shopper is wearing and dress like them. Being professional, well dress, groomed, speaking clear understandable English, with a friendly outgoing attitude is the best illusion you could give. The object here is not to draw any attention to yourself. You want Loss Prevention to be watching the other guy. Every store and every area will be different. A “high end” department store will have better dressed shoppers then a discount or home improvement store. No matter what, always wear clean cloths, bath, comb your hair, and have a clean respectable look. (Copied from an older thread)
4 a. Stores that have worked easiest for me: Hyvee, Target, Wal-mart, Kroeger. 4 b. Why they work easiest for me: This is just my personal opinion, it depends on how comfortable you are. At hyvee they do their lunch buffet and have hot food and a seating area available to eat. Kroegers has a Starbucks inside. At Target and Wal-Mart there are fast food joints in the stores, garden exits and wedding/baby registries. When I’m getting ready to leave I will always stop and do something as a distraction … Get a snack, drink, ice cream, or print off a registry or even walk around the garden area… Basically do whatever i want as an “exit distraction”… eat/drink/ print before getting ready to walk out of the store and then looking over an old receipt. I like this the best. On days were I have more time to spare and don’t have any frozen groceries or milk, sometimes I sit down in the seating areas of these snack places and check fb/tumblr on my phone and eat. Then I leave. 4 c. If you don’t want to buy a snack, don’t have any food shops inside, or simply want to get in and get out: pick an empty check out isle and just walk down that isle and leave.
5. Beeping: Walking out of the store you should always try to have a receipt on hand. This will make it easier to get out quicker if you flash a receipt at an SA since a lot of stores technically the SAs aren’t supposed to stop you, more of a manager or LP will need too. This goes back to dressing for the job. If you have a receipt, look clean and well dressed, SAs will more than likely wave you out. You don’t want to look like a shoplifter! Your last tip will be to always walk out close to a family or another shopper with many bags.
Always stay safe you little liftkittens! I hope this helps some of you. This is my favorite method to use!
