I love “Howl’s Moving Castle”. It may also be the only Ghibli film I don’t mind watching without subtitles, as Billy Crystal and Christian Bale do a good job.

I was lucky enough to go a screening at the BAFTA HQ in London which Diana Wynne Jones herself introduced.

She said wryly at the time, “I must admit, I don’t remember writing about all the flying war machines”.
