i scroll through a playlist that's supposed to be songs from 1970-1979 and find that i don't want to miss a thing by aerosmith is on there for some reason. i click on a playlist titled obscure 2000s songs and the very first song on the list is one of the biggest hits of 2004. i go into a playlist explicitly titled riot grrrl songs and find hole songs???? i see a grunge playlist and am immediately jumpscared by fucking post-grunge. i love so much that the younger generations are interested in the ancient texts. but i don't think the translation they're reading is accurate.
