I have been watching “The Way of the Househusband.”
It is subliminally ridiculous.

Prime Rib.
I am testing a portable solar panel this afternoon. I’ve got it set up in a less than ideal situation, so if it still charges my tablet then 👍🏻.
TIL the word “soccer” is an English invention and not an American one.
Just saw “Weird The Al Yankovic Story.”
Bwahahahahahaha!
Being self employed, I really never get days off, but today I will endeavor to do as little as possible.
PSA: PLEASE MASK AGAIN.
If you stopped masking, it’s time to start again, today. I’m not asking you to stay home, just to mask as well as possible, and do hand hygiene.
In multiple communities all over the USA and Canada, every pediatric hospital bed is full, mostly with babies and toddlers who have severe respiratory infections. It seems to be a combination of flu, RSV and COVID, sometimes more than one at a time in the same child.
We can sort out why this happened later. Right now, there’s an emergency that should be front page news, and isn’t, and the best way to stop it is to reduce the circulation of all respiratory viruses in our communities by masking everyone who can mask, before babies start dying because there isn’t enough care to go around.
Get your current flu shot and bivalent COVID booster if you haven’t already, but also please mask now.
Please do it for the babies! Nov 15, 2022.
The hospital my friend works at has been filling up with pediatric cases with a worrying amount of “airborne and droplet precaution” cases because of this flu and COVID uptick.
Mask up, stop the spread.
If you stopped masking, this is your sign to start again. Please.
I have two different friends who have had to take their toddlers into crowded hospitals and wait hours for emergency beds and oxygen this month (November 2022). There is a nation-wide shortage (Canada) of amoxicillin, which I understand is the drug of choice to treat kids with respiratory infections, because of the sudden spike in cases. Please mask up and help slow down the spread so that doctors and nurses have a fighting chance to treat kids!
Experts are concerned Thanksgiving gatherings could accelerate a ‘tripledemic’ via NPR, published 11/22/2022.
I never stopped masking…
Just saw “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.”
👍🏻
Just found out a friend has never seen The Thing, so I explained to her that it’s about a bunch of workaholics who adopt a stray dog who changes their lives. She’s excited to check it out!
I just saw “The Menu.” It wasn’t the movie I was expecting, but: 👍🏻
The kids.
It’s been a while...
A very long while.
MotoGP 2018 Championship Picks
Last year, I only got Rookie of the Year right, I probably won’t even get that right this year, but let’s try this again.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Fuck me.
The feeder series are generating better talent, which means the overall quality of Moto3 riders has been going up, which leads to better riders in Moto2, and that means all the rookies coming into MotoGP this year are absolutely fantastic.
I’m going to spare myself some agony and pick between last year’s Moto2 Champion and the rider doing the best in winter testing. Franco Morbidelli’s ride to the championship last year was imperious. Few could match him. However, Takaaki Nakagami is the fastest rookie so far. He’s adapting to the power and vastly different architecture of the MotoGP bike better than the other rookies. In part, this is due to the help he’s getting from his teammate, Cal Crutchlow. Morbidelli’s teammate is another rookie, so he doesn’t have anyone to show him the ropes.
My Pick: Takaaki Nakagami
TOP INDEPENDENT RIDER
My Pick: Johan Zarco
2018 CHA…
What do you mean you want some analysis? Fine.
There are only three riders who stand a chance, and they are Johan Zarco, Cal Crutchlow, and Jack Miller.
Yes. Jack “Jackass” Miller. He’s been crushing it on the Ducati during winter testing. He’s regularly turning in ‘top six’ performances. On the downside, Miller runs hot and cold. I don’t think he’s got the consistency to be top independent.
Crutchlow is good. He’s got the consistency that Miller lacks. However, he’s on the very temperamental Honda. Only Marc Marquez has been able to tame that bike.
Zarco is fast, consistent, and on a bike he loves. In fact, he’s so good…
2018 MOTOGP CHAMPION
Marc Marquez has picked Zarco as one of the title contenders. The other contenders are:
· Marquez (duh)
· Pedrosa
· Dovizioso
· Lorenzo
· Rossi
· Vinales
Let’s start with Zarco. There hasn’t been an independent rider champion in more than four decades. As stated above, he’s good. He’s also getting more out of the Yamaha than the two factory Yamaha riders.
Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales, the two factory Yamaha riders, have not been impressing in winter testing. Apparently, they are having issues with the Yamaha. However, neither can be counted out as they are talented riders. Another talented rider that is having issues with their bike, but can’t be counted down is Ducati’s Jorge Lorenzo. Honda’s Dani Pedrosa is also in that same boat. Great rider, issues with the bike.
That leaves Marrquez. As much as it pains me …
My pick: Marc Marquez
MOTO3 AND MOTO2
These championships are even more talent packed than the premier class, so I’m not even going to try.
Really, I’m not.

Awesome infographic on ideal social media posting times from Sumall & LinkedIn.
Artist friends, this is especially helpful information because the time you post your art can have a big impact on how many people see it!
Um. Y’all know about time-zones, right? Unless your social network is incredibly geographically constrained there’s no such thing as an “ideal time of day” for your posts.
My own network stretches from Australia to the UK. There are more folks in the US, true, but they’re still split between the coasts with a dollop of folks in the middle, and the coasts are 3 hours apart. So, should I post on Twitter between 1-3pm Eastern Time, or Pacific Time? Or GMT? See the problem?
Jeez. The internet is global, and the earth is round! ::forehead-slap::
Also: do you have a scheduled product? (Daily comic, thrice weekly podcast, etc.)
If you do, then your fans are going to expect the new post when they get out of bed.
Further, creators (artists, authors, etc.) expand their brand by posting multiple times a day to show glimpses of their processes and their lives.
The best part of the info graphic is the cat paw wearing watches because the Internet loves cats.
