Thanks for supporting small businesses like Walnut on this Small Business Saturday. I'm thankful that most of my days look like this, minus the lipstick and clean hair 😉. I get to raise these two little people while building Walnut. Which is super hard most of the time but I'm so thankful. Every order makes such a big difference to our little family. Yay for shopping small today!

Introducing the Littles. “Littles,” as in little sisters and brothers to the Walnut Animal Society members you know and love. I’ve been working for a year to perfect this smaller size, and now they’re live on the site.

Since the very early days of Walnut I’ve been wanting to create a smaller version. Something even more portable than the original size, and easy to take along on adventures. Each decision has been made very carefully so that the new size fits with the storyline of our signature characters and ends up being as special as the originals. When I had my second son Arlo last year, I knew that little sisters and brothers belonged in the Walnut world. I hope you find the three new Littles as sweet as I do! See them all here.

We always finish every animal by hand here in Los Angeles, but with the addition of this new size, our process is even more handmade than usual. We’ll be cutting each one by hand and therefore our quantities are very limited until we are making them in larger numbers (which means help with cutting). Enjoy them while they are here, and hopefully they’ll be in full rotation by early next year!

We very much love @em_henderson's style, so it's fun to see Charley the Bear in her son Charlie's nursery featured in @parentsmagazine. Charley the Bear was a very limited edition we did a few years ago, in a fancy fair isle Marc Jacobs fabric vest with plaid bow tie.
