Today's doodle of the Unwilling Avatar! Tried pulling her hair back - a more profesh look for the hero on the go.

Still have yet to decide a name, thought I would note down a few Chinese ones that stood out: "Changchang" (Flourishing), "Jingfei" (Quiet not), "Meifeng" (Beautiful wind), "Zhenzhen" (Very precious). Feel like the Sanskrit ones stood out more, will see.

A new study of my 'Unwilling Avatar'! I was so inspired by the wonderful 'Annie Mei Project' that I had to grab my tablet and get to drawing. This is partially inspired by the last image I reblogged as I intended to replicate the artist's style, though I ended up taking it in a different direction that was more true to what I want my own technique to become.

In this post I also wanted to note down some more name ideas. I've been researching what the inspiration behind Earth Kingdom culture is and I found that some names - Bumi, for example - have their origins in Sanskrit! A few of my favourite Sanskrit names are 'Chandi' (Great Goddess), 'Dharani' (Bearing, the Earth), 'Elakshi' (One with bright eyes), 'Eshita' (One who desires), 'Kama' (Golden One), 'Kanchan' (Gold), 'Nikita' (Unconquered, Earth, Victory), 'Vasudha' (Earth Goddess), 'Usha' (Morning, Dawn, Sunrise).

Carol 2014 Lauren MacSween

I've been re-watching The Walking Dead with my sister recently and it struck me how unassuming a character Carol started off as and I forgot how little a part she played in the earlier seasons - even with Sophia's disappearance. Watching her journey from an abused housewife to all-out badass has been both poignant and fantastic and Melissa Mcbride is just - PERFECT.

So, if you've not guessed, Carol is my favourite character and I am so excited to see what this season brings for herself and Daryl - especially the next episode, hot-dang.
