I've been playing a new cozy game that's got me thinking all kinds of things about supernatural beings (vampires, werewolves, witches, seers).

- Vampires being sensitive to garlic- but instead of burning and killing, sends them into fits of sneezing.

- A seer so busy helping others with their problems he doesn't foresee the rainstorm he gets caught in, or the cold he's going to catch after.

- A seer whose visions "act up" at certain points in the lunar calendar, making their senses hyper sensitive.

More to come, I'm sure.

I just watched Project Hail Mary and I have a lot of feelings 😭 the first couple things that I thought of was with Dr Grace and Rocky when they were doing all their experiments And I have a little dialogue thing that I came up with 

Rocky: question why breathe fast?

Grace: *sneeze* that is why

Rocky: no no no why grace die but life question

Grace: it is called a sneeze *types in sneeze*

Rocky: sneeze is small death

Grace: *laughs* yes I guess it is

uselessly fanning a hand in front of a nose mid-buildup is great. It’s so nonsensical and hopeless, like what are you trying to do? The idea that a sneeze is this physical fluttery thing that can be potentially shooed away.

A congested, sheepish little "Bless me..." from someone who just released the most desperate, urgent, body-wrenching sneeze and is clearly full of cold.

the idea of Driver with kittenish fits is irresistible to me, but I am also bewitched by the idea that they end with one big sneeze that finally scratches the itch. something like, "Tcho! Tcho! Tcho! Tcho! heh...HI-TSHIEW!"

OHOHOHOHOHO OP YOURE SO BIG BRAINED! This is so in line with how character and like the whole theme abt losing control and yeah

I also think he has breathy rapid little buildups idk why- and shakes his head at the end of a fit.

HEHEHE finally I can answer this bc I did watch it 🫡 I liked it !!! I think ppl hyped it up too much for me but I did end up liking the characters a LOT

Small D/river hc: He has very small kittenish sneezes, they barely make a sound. He HATES being sick/having allergies in front of ppl so he will isolate himself if that happens

I'll tell you mine! He seems like the type to enjoy/play up the drama of sneezing to be funny when he's around people he's comfortable with, but to get a little shy if it's on set/disruptive/around someone he likes

IAKDUSNDHSKS I LOVE THIS- I think especially with colds and stuff he will play them up so J/ody can take care of him. He used to be so uncomfortable with vulnerability but now that he knows J/ody is very into it he kinda plays it up for her

But outside of that,,,,,, I wouldn’t say he’s shy but he def doesn’t like being disruptive so he’ll stifle. He learned to do that bc he’s always on sets and it just became a habit.

I think it’s so ingrained in him that he kinda forgot how to sneeze like a normal person so if he wants to “let loose” he has to like, Think about it Ykwim

Someone who is so consistently and constantly itchy that poking and prodding at their nose becomes habitual and they’re constantly touching it even when there is nothing bothering them. Just. People who are anyways playing w their noses 💕

Colt seems like the kind of person to perpetually sneeze into his hands even though he knows he isn't supposed to. Can't break the habbit.

Sorry I saw “perpetually sneeze” and blacked out and thought abt him doing small kittenish sneezes that last forever

But YES I agree !! I think he’s used to stifling/covering his face in general so if he wants to sneeze “openly” he’d still cup his hands on his face

You’ll never catch him NOT covering his face in some way

There’s this idea for a fic that won’t leave my mind (but ik I won’t write) of C/olt and R/yland having to do a switch tm and getting found out bc they both sneeze SO different.
