guys, this is the best i can do... i tried really hard
this mod replaces the tv watching animations with more relaxed ones. however, there are no smooth transitions, so you might notice sims changing poses suddenly:
at the start and end of the action,
during conversations (I suggest turning off autonomy for sims when they watch tv together, as they tend to keep talking and interrupt the watching),
or when idle animations from emotions play.
these new animations work on sofas and living chairs; other seats will still have the default animations from the game.
the animations are different for men and women and are compatible with teens-elders.
only watching channels is affected, not movies.
for the new year’s eve special channel, the animations will stay the same to match the countdown animations.
if your sim is already watching tv and you change the channel, they might freeze in the sitting position. if that happens, just have them stand up and sit again to play the new animation.
p.s. i put a lot of effort into this, but i couldn’t make smooth transitions due to how the tv watching animations are set up. unlike reading, which has new animations, tv watching is tied to multiple 'watch' animations already in the game. as for movies, it’s even more complicated, so after many attempts, i decided to leave them as they are.
