I read Black Sweater, by Christa Kiracofe. The article was really interesting and talked about how a kid used his black sweater to get away from people and was used to block out what was going on in the world around him. I could relate to this because when the world seems to be moving to fast around me, I like to just get away and block everything. Now in my case, I didn't use a black sweater to wrap myself in like it was a cocoon, I would simply just go out for a nice walk, jug, or run to ease my mind and unwind. This black sweater grew up in a small town and moved into a big city with this kid. This part of the article remind me of some of my classmates because they are from small towns. Toward to end of the article the kid grows out of the sweater and now it just sits in the closet hanging up. The reason the sweater is hanging up is because the kid has found a way to overcome some of the things that he was facing, and there is no direct need to wear this sweater all the time. Now everyday is not going to be a good day. so the kid still wears the sweater on rainy days or in other words, when he wants to get away.
