i recently started playing omori and...

Hoh boy do I have thoughts, expect some fanart.

The main thing I have to talk about about is omori (aka sunny). The thing that stuck out to me was how scarily relatable his response to... whatever happened to him is ( I'm only just finishing prelude, I assume Marie died horribly, no spoilers pls). I'm the type of person who spends a lot of time in their own head, and I tend to be pretty closed off about serious stuff around even my closest friends. If I ever had some serious, traumatic event in my life, I could see myself just... Closing everything out. Retreating to a more ideal version of things, or justy own fantasies. Giving up on my friends, and even my art. If I'm being honest, I do this already with less serious emotions. Making up ideas that never see the light of day just to distract myself from my problems. I spend more time than I would like to admit walking through better versions of past mistakes, and better versions of myself. Things I would have done if I was braver, or more honest or just...

The similarities between me and sunny are probably gonna make whatever emotional gut punch the story is building up to kill me in real life.

Tldr, Sunny is just like me fr, I'm scared to keep playing, but I love the game too much to back out now.
