Calling all local artists and bands! 

Here’s your chance to open for Lawson for one night of their upcoming UK tour!

Fresh off the back of supporting Robbie Williams on tour in Australia, Lawson are heading back to the UK and they want to give some up and coming artists or bands the chance to open up for them on each night of their own UK tour.

If you’d like the chance to support when they make a stop near you, all you have to do is tweet from your band or artist’s official Twitter handle with your city’s hashtag (see below) and get as many people as possible to retweet your tweet!

Lawson will ask the top 2 acts that get the most retweets for a YouTube link to a performance and select the winner from there.

The winning act will get the opening slot of 15 mins. Bear in mind the set must be acoustic only (max 2 acoustics and a Cajun).

After the madness of New York, the second stop on the tour took us to Boston, where we took some time out to play a couple of acoustic songs for fans in the Public Gardens (thanks for coming out guys!). We then grabbed a few things from Guitar Centre before playing a great show at Brighton Music Hall with Sheppard!

Past couple of days have been CRAZY. As soon as we hit NYC, we went for a wander round central park, met some of you at Shake Shack (thanks for coming down), said hi to the guys at VEVO and FootLocker before we opened the show for Sheppard last night. We tried so hard to live stream to you before the show but with soundcheck running over and tech failing us, we didn’t manage to fit it in. Instead we jumped on a van and sang a couple tunes on Periscope. 

We hope those of you who caught it, liked it but we promise we’ll try and do it properly at the next stop! 

Oh, and if you guys have got any good suggestions for places to go in Boston - we’d love to hear them.

#LawsonOnTheRoad – The day in full!

Hope we can all agree that #LawsonOnTheRoad was a fairly epic day, we just wanted to say thanks to everyone who was involved with #LawsonOnTheRoad on Sunday.  It was amazing to visit some of your houses and play Roads to you. Congratulations to our two Sennheiser winners as well, hope you’re enjoying those headphones!

Thanks for your teas, coffees, bacon sandwiches and for the use of your trampolines. Thanks to everyone who came down to the free Liverpool show last night, thanks for waiting all day in the cold!

Lastly thanks to everyone who has bought Roads so far, it's a scary prospect releasing a single again after a little bit of time away as you think maybe people have forgotten about you or moved on but the last 24 hours have proved how loyal and awesome our fanbase is. Thanks for sticking with us, it feels great to be back in the iTunes top 10, all down to you so thank you!
