Meet Derek Thompson: Musician and father of three. Born in Windenburg, son of Felicia Weathers and Philip Thompson and brother of Luke and Michael Thompson, he went to the University of Britechester to study Language and Literature but never graduated, and instead began focus on his music career. He married Claire and moved to an apartment in the city of Bridgeport to further his ambitions, and there he had his 3 children, which made them quickly move to a house in Newcrest big enough for the family of 5.
His aspiration is to be a Musical Genius and he loves to swim. He named his first guitar “Roxxie”, and gifted it to his daughter Taylor. He currently owns three guitars: “Ophelia”, “Lilith” and “Miranda”. He also has a notorious sweet tooth.
Derek’s chill attituted and positive outlook on are the first thing others think when asked to describe him, that and his passion for music!
Meet Claire Thompson (née Connell) : Accountant, musician’s manager and mother of three. The adoptive daughter of Amanda and Jonathan Connell and adoptive sister of June Connell, Claire went to Foxbury Insitute and graduated with a degree in Economics. She later married her highschool boyfriend, Derek Thompson, and began acting as his manager. They had the twins Taylor and Shane, and a little daughter named Jenna.
Her aspiration is to be a party animal and she’s allergic to fur. Math comes as easy to Claire as breathing, even if her school report cards didn’t say so, she was just a little lazy!
There’s nothing she loves more than a good book and a cup of coffee in the afternoon, and a good party by night doesn’t hurt, right? That is, if she doesn’t have to rush her children to school or cover the early shifts at work.
Claire’s quite the friendly gal, just don’t ask her how old she is and you’ll be sure to get along with her!

a brief history of the family tree legacy.
so, what happened?
the family tree legacy, which started out as just the mood challenge back in 2018, was one of the first legacies i did-- and eventually gave up on. i decided to, instead of creating all new sims that i wouldn’t get attached to anyway, take my old legacy sims and give them a fresh coat of paint and some actual story!
so this is the family tree legacy, named after a series of albums by radical face. i’ll probably be playing it for about three generations, if that. it really depends on my motivation. hopefully i can stay invested long enough to get an actual story going a la @/softpine’s camellia legacy, but we’ll see. i want to give myself as much wiggle room as possible, so i don’t end up unmotivated again.
also, if you’ve been here for a while, you may recognize some familiar faces later on in the story :)
now, for the actual in-lore history...
spring 199X, starla perturb (23, a child prodigy) moves into an old summer home her family owns in windenburg from san myshuno, and she meets chadwick voss amidst her studies at the local grad school. they quickly find out that they get along as friends, and start going on dates.
chadwick gets starla pregnant on accident not long after they meet, but starla has little to no symptoms and doesn’t realize she’s having a baby before it’s too late
fall 199X, because of this, she ropes chadwick into helping her take care of the kid. he moves in with her
winter 199X, daisy is born, extremely premature. despite lack of medical attention, she survives.
2 years later, the pair has figured out that they do not function well as a couple outside of the relationship they had prior to starla’s pregnancy
daisy’s 2nd birthday has just come and gone. starla works from home, but takes frequent trips to san myshuno to spend time with her friend piper. chad doesn’t have a job.
and the story picks up from there. i hope this did a decent job of explaining what’s going on! there will be more revealed about the characters soon.
starla: “...besides, how hard can it be to keep track of a two year-old for half an hour?”
chadwick: “really, that’s your argument? of all people, you should know how difficult she can be.”
starla: “which is exactly why i need a break from her.” [she sighs] “could you please stop trying to start a fight and walk her back inside before she gets cold?”
chadwick: [he rolls his eyes] “oh, great, you’re bossing me around again. exactly what i needed!”
starla: “here we go.”
Do you use photoshop for editing ur gameplay/edits or something else?
i use a mix of photoshop and sai just because removing backgrounds and general editing in sai is easier for me.... i mostly use photoshop for stuff like actions and psds !
