the curse of growing up obsessed with romance, being a weird and quiet teenager, realising ur a lesbian, inheriting a fear of becoming ur mother in relationships, being told you have ocd - it makes dating feel like a psychotic break - realising youâre too mentally ill to date, but wanting to more than anything.

i wish i could just tell someone my entire history of crushes etc and someone could tell me my sexuality, tell me iâm not faking it, but ik thatâs not how it works, like i get so stressed trying to justify my un-attraction to men than i start doubting my attraction to women because i grew up with a million fictional crushes on male characters but i think itâs comphet because the thought of being with a guy makes me feel bad, but maybe thatâs because men just arenât interested in me, and maybe my attraction to women is actually just me getting wound up over men not being attracted to me, because nobody has ever had a crush on me- i was the girl asked out as a joke and you took to being accused of liking - so maybe iâm just lonely but thatâs fucking insane because there are things that i did growing up which were gay and but then i didnât realise liking girls was an actual option until i was old enough to know that people also thought it was gross if you did, but like i literally chose at random almost every crush iâve ever had, even some of the current ones iâve had on women so now i think iâm faking it entirely. then i go full circle and convince myself iâm ace but also women are hot and im attracted to them and boobies you know? but then maybe iâm faking that too, but are people who fake shit this scared that their faking it? surely that means iâm not faking it, but people who are faking it but donât want to fake it would obviously tell themselves that if they were faking it??? iâm fucked in the head, like iâm getting obsessive over this at this point why is this so confusing? why canât i just accept that iâm gay? my parents would be fine with it, my friends donât care, i donât have any sort of religious trauma or anything. i feel like if i tell people iâm gay, iâll kiss a girl one day and not like it, and iâll have lied to everyone, but now iâm like scared iâve hyped it up so much that kissing a girl will feel weird and iâll hate myself
