How US Marines commute.
Recon Marines fast-rope from Ospreys - Staff Sgt. Victor A. Garrett fast-ropes from an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft March 12 during helicopter rope suspension techniques training at Camp Schwab, Okinawa. With these techniques, commonly referred to as fast-roping, Marines can execute tactical insertions and extractions where rotary aircraft landings are impractical, according to Marine Corps Reference Publication 3-11.4A. So I do these weekly galleries of Marine Corps photography. The only people who see it are iPad subscribers. I don’t like that. I work hard on harvesting these photos from the hundreds that get uploaded to military imagery sites each week. These are great photos. Enjoy.
